I think Dabo has a better personality for recruiting than Saban.

I never saw how Saban pulls off recruiting. He doesn't seem good with people.

Saban is MUCH better with people behind closed doors than he appears on screen. I don't know, nor do I personally care to know him either, but from everything I've ever read about Saban, he is a different person behind the cameras. Parents, recruits, his family and friends, all say he is not like what he seems to be onscreen. His wife says that he is really a shy person. But extremely driven.

Simian, it's high time you all hire a Native American

That's Bill Clark or Freddie Kitchens

Other than saying Dabo is a better recruiter than Saban, I tend to agree, this is one of his better performances.

I'm thinking Nick Saban will have a lot of input regarding this hire.

Fat Freddie's a good dude. Not sure he'll ever be HC material, though.

You are still selling the Chinese short. There are several coaches in the Mongolian league who would do a good job at Bama.
There is Onehung Lo who coaches the Siberian Husky’s and never forget Com Tosoon who has the Rice Balls in first place of the Small 10 Conference.

So that shows a lot of poeple are ready to take over for CNS. And the ones I brought to your attention are ready to step into those big shoes if given a chance.

It wouldn't shock me if Dabo made the move. Its probably the only program he would consider at this point. Bama is his Alma mater, and he wouldn't be put off by Sabans legacy.

A decent portion of the Bama fanbase would hate him, because he is the polar opposite of Saban. He talks about things like loving and trusting your teammates (not in the Biblical sense) and extends scholarship offers to coaches sons, some of whom don't have any D1 offers. It would drive crazy Bama fans even crazier.

Dabo is crazy like a fox and a little unconventional. He understands people and how to build a team culture. What he has built at Clemson is different than a lot of other big time college programs... Which isn't to say that it's better... But it has allowed him over the past couple of years to expand to more of a national footprint looking for guys who are talented but fit the high character culture. Christian Wilkins is exhibit A (and USC fans if you want to throw in a stupid but grab gif go ahead - read up on the articles on the kid... He has faced adversity and is a model citizen).

For the 100th time I don't want Dabo at Alabama. Without a Heisman worthy QB Dabo stinks. He's not the right coach for Alabama and I hope they never offer it to him. Without DeShaun Watson - we wouldn't be having this conversation.

eta: Tillman -
Clemson rode the skills of one player to two NCGs. Without Watson you wouldn't have anything to brag about - and you'd be 4 - 6 against SC. Dabo ain't sh*t without a world class QB.
