Hugh Freeze is gonna be a pain in the arse for teams like LSU, Missouri, UK, UF, Vandy, OU. I'm not saying he's gonna beat all those folks, but he's gonna beat some of them.

It wasn’t Thorne’s stats. It was his dog…as in he has none in him.
In hoops, I watch Tahaad Pettiford look for opportunities to have the ball in his hands when the game is on the line, when we need a big shot, or a steal, or a min assist, or a free throw. He begs for opportunities to be “the guy” at clutch time.
Thorne has none of that. And that rubbed off on the team.
If Jackson Arnold has even some dog in him we will win 7-8 games.

If so, 8-4+ very reasonable and it's a success. If not, then you're looking at 6-6 or worse and Freeze will have a hard case to sell to justify staying for year 4.
If he loses 6 games again, he is gone. He has to show some real improvement this season. People have been pretty patient with him and let him build up the roster from mainly the HS ranks, while supplementing with a few portal guys here and there. That's the way he said he wanted to build it back when he was hired. Well, the talent is much improved so it is time to put up or shut up.

consistent offensive play calling, and not stupid shite Defenses see a mile away - and most importantly, decent consistent play from the QB. another season of Thorne level play, and it is going to be a disaster

Him being fired.

I want 8 wins and a win over one of our big rivals and very competitive in the losses.
Next year I will have very high expectations.
With the momentum on recruiting and hopefully will get better in the portal game, I am not wanting a change either per se. Disappointed in the first two seasons, but I personally was giving him four years to prove he is the guy.

Freeze definitely needs 8-4 with a big win or 9-3 or the vultures are gonna start gathering

8-4, 9-3 or higher this year. We’ll talk about 2026 after this season. I’m patient and understand what he’s building. He’s brought in a lot of talent and it’s about time for it to come around and produce (some have), even though they are all mainly freshmen and sophomores.

I would like him to recognize early on (August, preferably) whether or not he has a QB on the team. If not, game plan accordingly. Don't count on that position to win games in crunch time. Might take more coaching ability than he has.

The sudden Jackson Arnold love is what I am trying to understand
Not so much Arnold love as it is recognizing that Thorne may have stats that look close to Arnold, but in several big moments Thorne made game-losing mistakes (the interception versus Oklahoma comes immediately to mind). The times I have seen Arnold play for OU he did not have the issues Thorne had.
However, the Jackson Arnold experiment for me is a referendum on CHF; did he pick the right QB? Can he set up good plays for Arnold? Can he coach Arnold to run his offense?

He needs to show us he can coach a QB and have a good passing game.
He hasn't done that yet.
He needs to show improvement from one year to the next. I don't think he did that from year 1 to year 2.

He needs to compete and win at least 8 or 9 games.

Auburn fans will be dancing in the streets throwing toilet paper if Auburn finishes with 9 wins and ranked in the top 20.

I agree with your assessment of the situation.

9 wins and competent fricking qb play.

Take responsibility for those losses and quit throwing your best players under the bus. Man up for god sake.
