go ahead and explain how you are not counting the A&M national championship in football or semi finals of CWS last season.

I've said it in other threads. The Ags will be entertaining one way or another. Either Jimbo and Petrino (puke) get an understanding and Bobby P can make the offense click, producing a solid season OR they will bicker and it will show up in the play on the field (implosion).
Last year was dominated by the worst offensive line play I've seen in a while. No quarterback was safe; many were injured due to having to scramble and run for their lives. Hopefully that abomination is fixed.
I really believe Conner Weigman to be the real deal. I've watched him play through HS and I watched the marked improvement when he went in towards the end of the year last year. I expect him to be QB1 and I expect him to be a savage playmaker.
The defense, is okay. I want to see more turnovers out of them. That's my biggest desire here.
Overall, at a MINIMUM, 9-3 but we need to hit double digit wins during the regular season. Jimbo coaches his arse off against Alabama and LSU. But he has a tendency to sleep walk some other games. We have to beat both MS schools and we have to get back winning against SC.
Arkansas, since that will be my daughter's school in 2024-2025 and on, well that HAS to be a win b/c you know there will be shite talking in our house whenever we meet moving forward.
I'm a fan through thick and thin regardless. I'd be a happier fan if we stopped offering guaranteed contracts and even larger guaranteed contract extensions for our coaches. At some point, you have to be able to negotiate and not just quite literally throw money at everyone all of the time. But, if they continue on that road, I'd like to toss my hat in the ring for a coaching job.

"I'll have you know that the aggies played in the national championship in the not-to-distant 1930s, mister!!!"
Sorry, I guess it was easy to forget games that happened prior to my grandfather's life

Very hard to “expect” anything. I honestly have no idea what to expect. FWIW I thought A&M ranked Top 10 preseason last year was massively overrated, however I don’t think anyone thought they would be that bad. A complete abomination of a coaching job by Jimbo Fisher last year.
Jimbo has essentially put his career at A&M and overall legacy as a coach in the hands of Bobby Petrino, which was largely his decision. I think it will either work out surprisingly awesomely or go up in flames. Maybe even game-to-game.
I think the defense will be alright. Durkin is not Mike Elko, even schematically, but he’s improved the defense from year 1 to year 2 everywhere he’s been.

Print it on the cups!
I'm just kidding. I promise I am not mocking the fact that Aggie has to make rings and commerative cups in celebration of regular season wins since they haven't won or even played for any type of actual championship.
Well...I can't take that 1998 Big XII title away from ya'll. That had to suck for Kansas State.

You claimed a championship, you didn't actually play for one.

An actual semi final is where the winner advances to the championship.
A&M would've simply forced another game had they won.

Now I know you aren't playing with a full deck, but try to keep up with me here:
The winner of that game... DID advance to the championship.

Perhaps it's easier to understand if I just say A&M has never even played for the chance to play for a big 3 men's championship.

Why do you spend your time hatin’ on here?
I’m sure you’re a good egg.
Ags aren’t comin’ for you/your family; breathe.

Perhaps you should not make inaccurate statements when you attempt to claim facts. I understood exactly what you meant, and you were wrong.

The truth remains.
A&M has never played for a big 3 men's national championship or even the chance to play for one.

People like to make fun of Jimbo but he's the smartest man in the world.
He can put up losing season after losing season and play up the "aw schucks" response when asked about it. But he knows he only has to upset Bama or LSU (now OU and Texas), and he gets carried off the field, an extension signed, and aggies doing burnouts in front of the Dixie Chicken.
