No and they don't have plows to plow their roads. They maybe calling ODOT to help them.

Big 10 weather in Dallas...... Good thing it's at Jerry World not the actual cotton bowl.

Don't know if they're brining their roads. I know here in Oklahoma ODOT, OTA and the municipalities brine the streets before the storm comes in then plows and rock salts immediately after. We were far more prepared for the Feb 2021 ice storm. Texas was a fricking shitshow when that happened. They're not use to it like we are up here. They didn't have the equipment in the DFW Metroplex to plow and treat the roads then, can't imagine they are ready now. Maybe they are? Who knows.

They have been using salt trucks on all the major highways around DFW the past 2 days. It'll still most likely be a disaster though

I expect they will get it figured out to avoid an embarrassment for the city.

You know it’s bad when Chicago has about half a foot and North Texas metroplex is expecting nearly a foot of snow. Too bad the game is in a dome

Now hold on a minute y'all. Back in November when we had snow in Columbia, some of you jabronies said SEC teams don't play in snow, and while I know we are not in the SEC, Texas is.

They have backed off their forecast this morning. Now saying 2-4 inches Thursday going into Friday. High for Friday is in the 40's. Should be good to go by game time. They have already brined the roads and will continue to prepare until the storm hits.

Most DFW cities have snow plows. TXDOT has a bunch of them. DFW airport has a crap ton of snowplows, etc.

IMHO, as a person who spent 30+ years in the emergency management sector, I really don't think their will be any issues by game time. They will know more tomorrow as the storm continues to develop.

I agree with almost all of this assuming what they say now is "true". I am hoping people panic and sell tickets so I can get in for cheaper. Tickets are already less than 50% of what they originally were a week ago.

DFW may not be landing planes Thursday. Ohio St fans are screwed

Roads will be fine by Friday. Texas fans will be there.

Is this a new thing? I have never heard of them putting anything but sand on the roads. Also why liquid salt instead of dry salt? Seems like it would make it more slippery at least temporarily.

Nobody is driving from Ohio to Texas with temps in the teens.
