These are the teams will less than 3 losses. There are 27 head to head matchups between these group of teams. That is 27 losses be handed down.

This is ChatGPT's Monte Carlo analyses of chances for total SEC teams with less than 3 losses.

2 teams 44.4%
3 teams 30.5%
4 teams 5.9%
5 teams 0.34%

Using basic logic, the SEC is getting at most 3 teams in the playoff and that's not even a guarantee. Unless 3 loss teams get in over some 1 loss ACC/Big 12 teams or 2 loss B1G teams. And that didn't happen last year.

Sankey going to 9 conference games without guarantees from the CFP was dumb as shite.

If State wins all its remaining games, it will win the national championship

Sankey screwed the entire conference. Then while SEC teams are required to play at least one P4 opponent the BIG isn’t.

Thanks a lot.

Plus it is BS that a non P-4 can be ranked 20th and get in. It should be the top 12 period.

If there's one thing I'm absolutely certain of, it's that the SEC will get more than 2 teams in the playoffs.

of course it was and anyone with a brain recognized it. Making the schedule harder on yourself serves no logical purpose whatsoever. But hey- the people who complain about week 2 matchups against cupcakes got their wish for more tough games. Yay.

He got played. He blinked, when he didn't need to. Dumbass.

As a result, the SEC is going to be a bloodbath, and you likely won't have a team getting out without at least 2 losses. UGA is in the driver seat, for sure, but still have at least three big games that are far from guaranteed.

I recall that there were some Auburn posters on here who had no clue as to how it would effect their chances. (The are locked into playing Alabama and Georgia every season.)

The CFP has clearly stated that they DO NOT WANT a three loss national champion.

Kirby warned everyone but too many just puffed up their chests and dismissed his insight.

Kentucky making the playoffs would be something, but I doubt it happens. I believe they lose 2-3 games as usual.

If State can get by LSU then 10-2 is very possible.

All depends on KT and Fluffs injuries and if they’ll be able to play

if state was in the playing form that they were against Minnesota and South Carolina, I've seen enough thus far to say they'd have a better chance than not at making cfp.

the Alabama game would've looked a lot different, too.

with Taylor supposedly having grade 2+ turf toe early on in the Bama game, fluff being out for weeks and half our defense already out for the season, it's looking like it's another season of "could've been."

Kentucky doesn’t have a hard remaining schedule. Tennessee isn’t very good nor is OU.

I could see them winning out, 10-2 is very possible.

Georgia and Alabama easily win out. They’ll get in.

Assume States QB and RB return and are good to go, I predict winner of Egg Bowl to be 10-2, loser 9-3. UK finishes 10-2. One of these two 10-2 teams get snubbed

State is only in this position because the refs gave you a generous spot despite Mizzou stopping you on 4th down.

The Big 12 is expecting to get 3 in because of the way the league allegedly keeps them apart.

It’s looking more and more likely that the SEC may only get two teams in the playoffs. If you just look at the 12 spots: ND is in because they are gifted one every year, BIG will get two so that’s three, assuming the SEC gets two that’s five, ACC will get at least one so that’s six, and the Big 12 will get one so that’s seven, G4 will get at least one so that’s eight, leaving 10-15 legitimate teams competing for the remaining four spots but if the G4 gets more than one team in which is a real possibility then you will have 10-15 teams competing for three spots. There are going to be a lot 2-3 loss teams being left out.
