Ky and UTk both got their one win over SCAR in that time period I think.

Unacceptable. That's gotta change.

Might be time to realign the divisions to balance things out a bit.
It's still early but this might be the most idiotic thing I'll read all day.

Sure, the guy on the Big 10 side of the conference thinks it is idiotic.

Youd have to look at records versus out of conference top 25 teams only

Mullen imo is doing a good job considering it's Miss. St.....but this basically means he has zero quality wins the past 5 years.

The difference Mullen has made is that we no longer lose to teams that we should beat like Tulane, Louisiana Tech and Maine. Every MSU coach before would have at least 1, if not 2-3 WTF losses, and might sneak up and pull an upset here and then.

The '98 SEC West Champions lost to a 5-6 Oklahoma State by 20 points and a 4-7 LSU team by 35 points, yet still won the SEC West.

The 2000 team, which I think was the best ever, destroyed Florida and Auburn (both divisional champions) in back to back weeks, and lost to average Arkansas and Ole Miss teams down the stretch when one win could have clinched the division.

Mullen just doesn't lose to teams he's favored to beat. I'm not sure he has lost a game at State in which we were the favorite. But obviously, we don't win many games where we are the underdog. He's won three - Florida in 2010 and Ole Miss in 2009 and 2013 where State was the underdog.

Yep. Final poll is a bit more telling, but not nearly as shiny.

This is the final poll. If it wasn't, we would have 2 or 3 wins.

Mother. Of. God. Bob Stoops may have a point.

I don't think he has a point. The rankings include in-conference games. And those will be responsible for the vast majority of both the losses and wins versus the top 25. Far more interesting would be the total OOC wins versus top 25 teams. But not very many of those are even scheduled. And when you look at bowl records, that's a pretty good indicator of the overall SEC strength.

That moment when Florida is essentially no better than MS State.

State didn't lose to an FCS team and actually has the best win between the two programs (ole Miss). So I'd say State was actually better.
