This was posted in mid-December. It was meant to be the record against final BCS teams from 2009-2013

I'm pretty sure the OP was supposed to be from 08-12

It was posted on December of 2013.

1. I wouldn't expect them to leave out a season.

2. If it's 2008-2012 then it's REALLY off, so I doubt it.

Can that be broken-down into Big 12 and SEC futility? First three years, of the past five in the Big 12 and the last two in the SEC.

Makes sense.

Sounds legit.

Georgia: 8-21 (27%)

Arkansas: 7-21 (25%)
Florida: 6-23 (20%)
Ole Miss: 5-24 (17%)
Tennessee: 2-26 (7%)
Vanderbilt: 1-18 (5%)
Kentucky: 1-21 (4%)
Mississippi State: 0-30 (0%)

Added '13 numbers to the 08-12 ones. Pretty sure these are accurate

Now add divisonal, SEC and National Championships in parenthesis next to it...

You will eventually realize after the new wears off that winning the east and losing the SEC Championship doesn't really mean shite.

Someone posted the Big12 record for the same time frame. The lower tier schools in that conference resemble the lower tier schools in this conference, except SEC teams have played a lot more ranked teams.

But they may have deserved to be. Georgia regressed through the season. Auburn improved through the season. The quality of football Auburn played in week one was not worthy of a #2 ranking. Now it is.

Problem is, in weeks 1-3 or 4, nobody deserves to be top 25, for the most part, especially not going INTO week 1.
Preseason rankings are dumb.

Using your record against teams in the final poll is always a much better metric than vs. when you play them.

This is particularly true early in the year when the rankings are just sorta best guesses.
