Tight ends have not been much of a priority during the Kevin Sumlin era in College Station

You don't say!

I can't imagine why Ole Miss edged out A&M for the #14 spot. (They probably cheated.) Sumlin has never figured out how to use one, or just doesn't care. The Aggies have a couple of good ones playing this year, but it's an "I'll believe it when I see it" deal.

how well they are stocked at the position
so, that doesnt mean the 5 4*s? riiiight. Maybe if they are so lazy they only count 2 deep. But, that is just DUMB af.

And, I know you more or less agree with me b/c you said so in the op.

I know he had a post get whacked, but he still has his avi pic. Doesn't that mean he's not banned?

Hopefully at the very least he got a stern PM warning to go along with the whack. I learned my lesson to not make jokes like that and got banned because of one, but of course I'm an Auburn fan and the current admin is a UGA fan. But that dudes a POS and has been trolling increasingly aggressively and just being an all around POS excuse for a human lately. He already needed a timeout, but he definitely deserved to get banned after what he said in here.

Ole Miss returns literally zero production at the position. Not even a single career reception.

And their starter is a walk-on... so in a way, I guess they sort of did cheat to get last place

We have some solid tight ends that were never really utilized in les miles offense. As ed orgeron took over, you immediately saw us use our tight ends more to catch passes. We have a stud on our team that isn't eligible until next year named thaddeus moss, randy moss' son. He's a threat and will be fun to watch in canada offense. He transferred from nc state after playing there as a freshman to come play in canadas offense.

You're right. I'm on mobile and when you click on his username you can still see it on his page. Good, he deserves a timeout for that one.

Picked up Moreau as my backup TE in my fantasy league because of this thought. I think Canada is going to use the TE way more than outside folks think.

10. LSU quote:Interesting fact LSU offensive coordinator Matt Canada has combined the team’s tight ends and fullbacks into a new position, the F-back — a versatile role similar to H-back that also includes receiver and running back traits.
Please God let this happen and let them get their hands on the ball 10 times a game!

Don't think the TE's and FB's touched the ball 10 times a year during the entire Miles regime.

oh, he will. the TEs get the ball a lot on those shovel passes and a lot of the time are wide open.

This is interesting to me because Mullen is very high on his tightends this year. He has not put much stock into the TE position until this year. He knows offense so if he says this year they are going to be a key then that's good enough for me.

Hmmm Haden Hurst and KC Crosby are just the tip of the iceberg. We're 8 deep at TE. There's three very good TE's behind those two

I will not deny that our TE's are mediocre at best, but those 2 guys that you mentioned aren't at the top of our depth chart.

Our starting TE's are going to be Jason Pellerin (coverted QB), Gabe Angel (biggest TE we have had in years), and Octavius Cooley (didn't see much action last year because of Engram's presence). They're not going to be earth-shattering players, but they will be solid and will be productive for us.
