and a pre season list should include all the actual players at that position lol including the top Junior college player at that position

let me put it this way. if Alabama had the top TE in the country coming in,k you damn sure beat he wouldn't be left off a pre season list

Yeah I see no problem with our ranking. No one on our list has been THE guy yet. They'll have to prove themselves before they move up. Most likely, we're going to play so many TE's this year that no one is going to equal the stats of the #1 guys on some of the teams above them.

Cantrell, O'Grady, Gunter, Patton and Kraus should all see playing time. O'Grady and Patton have the opportunity to put up the most stats but Bielema loves the maulers like Cantrell and Kraus so they're going to get their time too.

Georgia not being number 1 is a joke. They have the best TE in the country, and he's a true sophomore.
You clearly missed the post about Sal.

You make a valid point. I'm not sure why I didn't look at it that way before now.

Our TE depth is absurd. Bielema's streak of getting TE's drafted should definitely keep on going with this crop. I'm definitely looking forward to see how they use them this year and who busts out.
that why this list is so arse. Arkansas is the obvious #1.

All highly rated recruits from Indiana end up busts. Especially those in the Greater Indy area. And the people from around there are just trash in general. I was forced to live there for work for almost 2 years and it was hell having to mingle and work with such trash daily.

Not until you prove it. Can't be ranked based on what guys that aren't there anymore accomplished.

of course it can. It is obvious that certain coaches do certain things. Our TEs will lead the league, book it. Just like Auburn will lead in rushing and Bama will lead in defense. Certain things are predictable. Same staff, 5 4* TEs in the 3 deep. #TEU. You may not be able to say which ones will be the best, but you can say as a TEAM who will be the best.

The way all these position rankings in this series have been done, and the criteria used seems to be over your head.

Returning production and the amount of depth with players that are proven are weighted higher than the recruiting stars of players that haven't lived up to their hype yet.

You're right in that Auburn is the safe bet to lead the SEC in rushing, yet in the RBs list we were ranked 3rd. And we return a lot more production at RB than Arkansas does at TE.

"over my head"? What a laugher. What seems to be over yours is factoring in projections based on philosophy , style, and probability. Just b/c this series has traditionally been arse, doesnt mean it's smart or accurate. For instance last year we had just had Henry drafted. I bet we were ranked mid pack. But I would have said the same thing I am saying to you now and we all know Arkansas will be top 3 in TE production every single year regardless. This year we have FIVE 4*s ready to try to replace Sprinkle. OF COURSE one of them will do it. And, btw, that's more talent than we have at any other position, and more TE talent than any other team in the COUNTRY, much less SEC. Don't be dense, bruh.

If Eason improves like he should this year, I could see us moving up. If he doesn't, I think we stay around the 3-5 range. It's no knock on our TE's, because I believe they are the best, however if the QB isn't getting the ball to them right then there is nothing they can do about it. IMO.

Blazevict has started in 25+ games.Wasn't his fault his numbers declined.Charlie Woerner is a better athlete than both of them.

Yes, very clearly. Did you even click on the link? They aren't projecting shite. Philosophy, style, and probability don't have a damn thing to do with it. It's very simple and says right when you click on the link:

quote:

Who has the best tight end situation in the SEC? AL.com attempts to answer that question by ranking each of the league's 14 teams based on how well they are stocked at the position heading into the 2017 season.

"Based on how well they are stocked at the position heading into 2017"

They aren't predicting how much production each team will get out of the position. They aren't predicting how well the three 4* underclassmen that haven't played yet will do. They aren't even ranking who has the best players at the position.

They are very simply ranking how well they are certain each team is already stocked. Returning production is like 95% of that formula.

If you're still having trouble grasping this then you need to just go to bed and sleep in tomorrow, because you are over thinking this waaaaayyy too much
