In 2025? Milroe was in the NFL.

So it obviously wasn't 2025

I’ve heard about 10 podcasts from different teams after spring ball and they all say how much better they are and this team could be special

Same shite, every year. Everyone is undefeated and has massively upgraded their roster

We probably did upgrade on defense, but offense is a big problem in my opinion.

Mateer just has to stay healty

Mateer throwing the ball is actually what I’d be worried about.

We will know about Oklahoma pretty quick. 3 of their first 5 game are @ Michigan, @ Georgia, and Texas in Dallas.

They lost a lot of players and coaches.

We retained almost all of our players and most of our coaches. Not sure that your definition of "a lot" fits here.

Wut?

You lost something like 9 players to the draft/eligibility exhaustion. You lost another 23 or so to the portal, so that's 32 players.

You had 75 players in 2025, so about 42.6% of those players are gone now.

So you lost half of your coaching staff and nearly half of your roster, but you're saying that you "retained almost all of your players and most of your coaches."

No idea who would be instead though either.

I can help you a little there. It certainly won't be Oklahoma.

So OU could win at Tennessee and at Alabama last year but they can't win at Georgia with a better team? Okay

Yeah man it's unfathomable how a playoff team from last year could win the conference this year.

Oklahomas defense is going to be nasty. Even better than last year. Big upgrades at WR, TE, and RB I can see it. That early OU is Georgia game in Athens should be epic.

We’re gonna skullfrick you just an fyi…

I know, you told Ole Miss the same thing before they beat you.

Not sure why people quote Vegas over/unders like it’s gospel. It shows you don’t understand how lines are determined.

7.5 means nothing. It means there is a significant population (morons) that are betting OU doesn’t hit.

Stribling and Williams to the draft
Princewill
Cayden Lee
Womack
Hedrick
Dottery
Harper
Fields
Graves
Watkins

All went to better programs historically than ole Miss and were expected to contribute this year. Yes I know you picked up players too, but these losses are not insubstantial.

Then I’m assuming you are betting big on the over?

Rankings bullshite until October, arguably until the brackets are set; even more so until end of season.

Here's what I feel pretty certain about in 2026.

Running game will be better. Huge focus in the spring.
TE room is solid and will feature heavily in the offense.
The big focus with Mateer has been decision making, especially in the run game. He'll be better in 2026.
We won't go undefeated. No one will go undefeated in the SEC, but we'll be a very tough out for everyone we play.
