You're only fooling yourselves if you think ESPN has the extra cash to finance expansion like they did a decade ago. ESPN is broke. They have no extra money for Oklahoma and Texas but they will Clemson and FSU.

Clemson just scheduled a Board of Trustees meeting for Wednesday.

The Big 12 schools are saying they will receive more money after OU and UT leave. How did they make more and the SEC did not?

I'm not for expansion but this is incorrect. The media rights deal with ESPN included Texas and Oklahoma. The start of that contract begins in 2024. What ESPN did not pay for was 9 conference games. The SEC went back to them and ESPN didn't want to pay for it, so we stayed at 8 (Good move for the SEC as it is a bargaining chip). ESPN likely thought that we would go to 9 games anyway so why pay for it?

Our president supports FSU joining the SEC. Lots of UF fans that I've talked to do, too. Miami can go f themselves though.

If you have a better product you’ll eventually command a better price. The premium price for the SEC is inevitable. Half the US population lives from Virginia to Texas. 80% of the talent resides there. The interest in CFB in this region is stronger than any other particularly if you dilute the strong interest of the Midwest with the meager interest in the West.
