That of course Splits up the UGA/UF game

Then how would it be an annual game? 1 permanent cross-pod?

Don’t understand how they keep the rivalries

Bama - UT and AU
UGA - UF and AU
AU - UGA and Bama

Gonna have to have a permanent out of pod rival to keep these 3 schools happy.

Will we still have a Championship game? If so, how would that be decided?

Pod 1 Arkansas, Texas, Mizzou, OU

Pod 2 LSU, A&M, OM, MSU

Pod 3 Bama, Tenn, Aubie, Vandy

Pod 4 Fla, Ga, USCe, KY

3 solid teams and a patsy in every pod

Keeps in tact most of the key rivalry games
Red River Shootout
Battle Line
Gulf War
Iron Bowl
Outdoor Cocktail Party
Third Sat in Oct
Egg Bowl

The only games that'll potentially be needed to save with a preeminent rivalry game:
Deep South's Oldest
Lone Star Showdown
Southwest Classic (probably gets lost in this)

As a wrinkly old frick, I'm a big fan of having all three of these rivalries back.

So Bama will play all the SEC’s traditional powers.

That dude who tweeted out the 2025 rumor was bullshitting, he's a fraud. I'm sorry but, we'll see you fricks in Austin in 2023 whether you like it or not.

The pods that make the most sense are

Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas

LSU, Texas A&M, State, Ole Miss

Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, Vanderbilt

Kentucky, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida

Protected Rivalries within division
Texas-Oklahoma
Missouri-Arkansas
Texas A&M-LSU
State-Ole Miss
Alabama-Auburn
Tennessee-Alabama
Tennessee-Vanderbilt
Georgia-Florida

The only protected rivalry out of division would be Georgia-Auburn, and they can get over it.

Everyone plays their 3 in division every year and 2 from each of the other 3. Every four years, you play in every SEC stadium.

Don't take anything he says at face value, he's just trying (and failing) to be this site's 13-0 Branding Iron.

I was thinking same

Why not do this?Although you might
have to "create" a few rivals.

I agree with both of you, but I don't think they Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee and Georgia in the same pod. Too many of the "Big 6" so to speak.

They have to do something though... how many years would it take to visit every team stadium under the current format? Ridiculous years.

frick, poor SCAR.

Only one of those teams was winless against the other three, and it wasn't the Gamecocks.

Or you have 1 permanent rival between each division. You play these teams every year. Then you rotate between divisions for the rest.

Example:
A&M - Texas, Alabama, South Carolina
Lsu - Arkansas, Aubrun, Florida
State - Missouri, Vanderbilt, Georiga
Ole Miss - Oklahoma, Tennessee, Kentucky

Would need a 9 game schedule, play your 3 in pod, 1 permanent from each other pod, then 1 rotating from each other pod yearly H&A.

Could keep rivalries plus play everyone at least 2 x every 6 years...

Alabama
Auburn
Georgia
Florida
Tennessee
Vandy
Kentucky
South Carolina

Arkansas
LSU
A&M
Texas
OU
Mizzou
Ole Miss
Miss State

Easy. Move to 9-10 SEC games. Be done with it.

Essentially put Texas and OU in West. Move Mizzou West. Move Bama & Auburn East

This is the way.

In a player's 4 years career, you'd play...
6 teams 4x
3 teams 2x
6 teams 1x

This is literally impossible.
