I would bet one kajillion trillion dollars that LSU isn't getting expelled from the conference for this lol

I'm shocked Dellinger ran with this. LSU isn't getting expelled or fined or put on probation if they play a player THAT IS LEGALLY ALLOWED TO PLAY.
What a bunch of crybaby pussies.

And Ole Miss and Chambliss? Texas with the player they added?

Sounds like the SEC is going to try to Texas Tech this.

I got downvoted to infinity and called every insult LSU fans here could think of for posting that backroom conversations had already been had by SEC chancellors and ADs about boycotting LSU this season and possibly expelling them from the conference.

It's not any less absurd today.

Every school is welcome to forfeit out of protest

The SEC headquarters has shown it has as much power over sports as the NCAA does...none

It is unlikely. LSU most likely bends the knee. But if they don’t, if they ignore all other penalties and continue to fight against the other 15 members of the conference, this is the nuclear option. So while it is unlikely, the red button is on the table.

The SEC doesn't want to do anything that would violate any court order, therefore, it will be left to the schools, acting on their own, if a temporary injunction is granted this week after the hearing.
I wouldn't expect schools to give up a home game by cancelling games against LSU. However, a Louisiana state court judge would be powerless to compel LSU's visiting SEC opponents (A&M, State, Bama, and Texas) to go to Baton Rouge (as state institutions, they are all protected by sovereign immunity), and the SEC could even change the status of those games to "no contest" (like games cancelled due to covid) rather than a forfeit without "penalizing" LSU.
It's the ultimate hammer.

That would mean LSU would be ineligible for a bowl game. The NCAA does not count forfeit wins towards bowl eligibility.
If every SEC team boycotted and forfeited, LSU could go undefeated and have an official record of 3-0.
The most LSU thing in the world would be for them to go undefeated and not even get to play in a bowl game.
