I didn't just look at where they were born. I looked where they were raised. There's a couple on the borderline or yankee list that were born in the south but raised elsewhere.

Perhaps the weirdest thing is that Deboer and Heupel grew up 30 minutes apart in South Dakota and knew who each other were in high school

Point still stands for Beamer. Southwest virginia where Blacksburg is located is as redneck / blue collar as anywhere in the south.

Heupel from Aberdeen Central High School in Aberdeen, SD. Not sure why they call it Aberdeen CENTRAL...it is the ONLY High School in Aberdeen.

Nobody ever said Mark Richt is a pure blood southerner. Nobody ever has said that. He hasn't coached in the SEC in 10 years. What exactly is your point?
