South Carolina could very easily make an argument for #1. Any fanbase that consistently fills up the stadium over a 1-21 stretch deserves recognition.

The fact that you have MSU below Vandy makes your thread complete crap. You also have SC and LSU under Alabama, who can't get students to stay at the game.

A long first post on the site just to say Arkansas fans suck. The list is all over the map as to why the fanbases are ranked where they are. It goes from reasonable fans as criteria, to how much they spend, to how rude and many people they kill all in the top 4. You have to pick a criteria and stick to it through the whole list.

While this ranking is obviously based on the size of the fanbase - and that's ok- I will say that we are by far the most loyal fanbase. Since the 1960s, when we dropped to the bottom of the SEC in football, our fans are still there. I wonder how many of you would have stood with your program that long with that record.

Whether you love or hate Tennessee it’s ridiculous to have our fanbase ranked 10th in the SEC. We clearly have one of the most loyal fanbases in the country. A decade of losing and we still pack the stadium every weekend, are still loud every weekend. And yeah, we have our delusional and a-hole fans, but every team does. We’re still one of the best fanbases in the SEC.

It would take a lot more than that to tie up Alabama.
Anyway I thought that the police report from that bar fight was that while his family, who weren’t there, claimed it was because of fandom, some people who were their later said they thought it wasn’t. Or at least that is what I remember from when the story was wrapping up back then.

Never understood this argument. What are Alabamians supposed to do, pick some team located in a different state to be a fan of just because it’s “harder”? Pull for Auburn, even if they have no connection to the city or school? Now, if you’re talking about people from a different state who have no connection to Alabama but just want to be fans of a winner, then preach on, preacher, but at least make that clear.

This is all just wrong. I’ve heard more stories of LSU fans inviting opposing fans to tailgate with them than LSU fans being rude to them
