SEC FOOTBALL fan bases ranked

1.Texas A&M.
They have probably the biggest “real” fans. Not fans that buy shirts from dollar general and watch the games on TV. The fan base is huge and they are filled with tradition. 60,000 undergrad students. I have not been to College Station, but I have friends who have and they do not complain about the fan base and encourage me to visit. When they have played in Oxford all the ones I have talked to are reasonable and genuine.
2. Auburn
They have a massive fan base even though they are Alabama’s little brother. They can be unreasonable at times but they have real fans, alumni fans, and their students show up no matter what.
3. UGA
Another huge fan base. Reasonable with expectations. When you have won 10 games in 7 seasons since 2008. They expect to be in the SEC championship game every December and to make the playoffs. They have fallen short of the National Championship so people get annoyed with them but they are the best team in the East consistently. They are the third best fanbase in the SEC. Real fans, the students show up.
4. Alabama
They have to be a top 5. Their fans are obnoxious and can be rude, but what do you expect when your team is the best. They could be one or two if they didn’t have so many fans who root for Bama because its easy. All you have to do to be a Bama fan is go to Walmart and buy a t-shirt. Since 2008 they haven’t had a season with less than 9 wins. They get 100,000 people in the stadium for Colorado St. Students show up no matter what. The fans who buy t-shirts from Walmart and only support them because they are good and are obnoxious on social media after every win bring them down.
5. South Carolina
They know their place, are still loyal when the team is not the best. Never hear too much baad out of them. Their biggest rival is an ACC school, Clemson so they don’t get into as much twitter beef with other sec schools. That helps them on my list.
6. LSU
You could argue this is the worst fan base in the SEC based on how they treat opposing teams fans. Three fans literally murdered an Alabama fan in a bar in 2018 following the game. They are inhospitable and rude to opposing fans tailgating before the game and the same on twitter. However, their fan base is huge and loyal. The fans are the reason Death Valley has the reputation that it does. Loud and intimidating for visiting teams. They have a legit home field advantage no matter what their record is.
7. Florida
They can be delusional about expectations. They are consistently at the top of the East and their fans know this. Their fans are almost unbearable on social media. They love their team and every other teams fans are wrong. They are loyal and another massive fan base. It’s in Florida and some fans would rather go to the beach or fish in early season games and that hurts them on this rating.
8. Missouri
It still feels like Mizzou is an outsider in the SEC even though they won the East twice since joining the conference. Their fans seem to know their place and are not overly delusional. Lack of knowledge about them positive or negative situates them at 8 on my list
9. Kentucky
Kentucky is coming off an impressive 2018 campaign which energized their fan base and may have made them a little too cocky. Their loyalty lies with basketball and football takes a back seat in the blue grass state. However, last seasons campaign rejuvenating the fan base helped them crack the top 10
10. Tennessee
Lets be honest the last five teams fan bases on this list are at the bottom of the SEC for many reasons. Tennessee that reason is simply for being so delusional. They won one Championship in the late 90’s and think they should play in ATL for the SEC Championship every year. We saw this fan bases true colors when Butch Jones was unable to win and those colors are just as ugly as Tennessee orange. Their loyalty propels them above the remaining 4.
11. Ole Miss
This team has been a dumpster fire the last three years unfortunately and things are looking somewhat questionable in 2019 on the field. Off the field we know where things stand. Season ticket sales are down more than 10,000 sales and a student section that seems to leave at halftime no matter who the opponent is on Saturday doesn’t help out much. They were fired up following the 2016 Sugar Bowl win however. Blame on the NCAA killing the school spirit helps them from being at the very bottom.
12. Vanderbilt
Its vandy. We don’t expect much from them. Small fan base, private school and it is in Nashville. They feel as if they have better things to do on a saturday night than sit in a football stadium.
13. Mississippi State
These guys are mostly clowns lets be honest. A fan kept trying to convince me Jamal Peters was going to get drafted top 3 rounds in 2019 NFL draft. He went undrafted, the colts gave him a chance but he couldn’t make it. Their success in 2014/15 made them delusional to an unbearable level. They think the team taking the field this year is going to win the West and they do not know who their QB is going to be for game 1.
14. Arkansas
These guys just suck lets be honest.
