I find it funny that all the sec fans wants miles to stay and how it is a bad move. yall love miles but yall would never want him as your head coach and that is a telling sign. That was how I felt about Shula. I wished he stayed at bama forever and that was because we always beat him. Now that is why everybody wants him to stay because nobody is scared of lsu anymore.

I don't think its anything like Shula. I think Miles is more like Gene Stallings was at Alabama and he is a polarizing figure for some at the institution. I think LSU will go through years of shite if they get rid of Miles but that is their choice. I think Miles needs to completely revamp the offense and go after a young offensive mind. If they do get rid of Miles I think Kiffin is the best head coaching candidate in the nation. I actually hope he will come to Alabama when Saban leaves.

That's what people like you don't seem to get. Miles either can't or won't fix the offense. How long does this need to continue?

We have just the young offensive mind he needs...

I genuinely like the persona of Les. I call it a persona because I don't know him personally. He seems good natured and is a solid coach. He just needs to update his offense and not hire a castaway as his defensive coordinator.

I know everybody likes miles the man he is and that is what we will miss about him but he is stuck in his 1960s Michigan football days and no matter who the offensive coordinator is will always be the same offense. Ever since jimbo left after 2006 we haven't had a quarterback since. I don't count zack mettenburger because he went to georgia out of high school. If he didn't get kicked off the team we would have never had him.

Shula won a title and played for another? Shula recruited at the highest level in school history?
Who the frick do y'all think you're gonna hire thats better than Miles?

I want Miles to stay because I don't want a better college football job opening up while we're searching for a coach.

How can you post that Miles should hire a different OC with a straight face?
Miles hired fricking Steele for Christ's sake.
He isn't gonna change, he isn't gonna get some new hot shot OC and revamp the offense. He is stubborn as all hell.
He gone.

We are merely pointing out that it would be foolish and a huge gamble to run him off. No one is "wanting for Miles to stay" like you're implying. Simply stating the obvious facts that Miles is one one of the most successful coaches in Lsu history, consistently wins, wins with dignity and class and represents the Lsu program with the highest level of class. I understand being frustrated the season is turning out to have been one of disappointment after starting so well but the truth is this team just isn't as talented nor experinced enough to win it all. The end results will be what was expected at the beginning of the season. 3 losses team.
Another truth is L5U fans have to watch a Nick Saban led Bama team constantly crush their dreams and their team. It would not matter which coach was on the L5U sidelines, Saban at Bama will continue to win more than L5u.
Fire him, I hope y'all do as it will set the program back a few years and make it easier for Bama.

It's just such a pendulous swing..
4 weeks ago LSU was in the Playoffs, D was salty, and Fournette was a Heisman Winner (I agreed with that; man crush on LF).
Now,
Les can't do anything right.
It's so hot and cold. Rash decisions are made in haste.

That's part of the problem. Miles has had 11 years and 4 OC to change the philosophy. The problem is his stubbornness, and refusal to make offensive changes to HIS OWN philosophy.

Honestly I think it is just other fans trying to tell you what a gamble firing and rehiring a staff is. Saban had processed every team's coach in the SEC West other than, LSU since arriving at UA and a few in the East (UT, UF). And it sets you back a few years.
UA fans are well aware at how bad the wrong hire can be for a program and everyone is basically saying unless you have a Nick Saban ready to step in, most of the time it's better to stick with the devil you know.
But, LSU fans think since they found a Saban once and then Miles to follow him that they will get another great coach, but the odds are certainly not in your favor. Enjoy the next Few years of rebuilding a program.

I think it has more to do with the fact that LSU fans seem to forget the good he has done. I think everyone understands that Les has been trending down, of course there are some that are just trolling.

What has he really done good? Luck into a national title game with 2 losses? Get totally embarrassed by getting shutout in another title game with an historically good football team? Looked good his first 2 years with all of Sabans players with Sabans mindset pounded in their heads? Letting the Towsons and the eastern Michigans of the world stay in a dogfight with us in the 4th qtr? Clock management? Preparing for anybody? In game adjustments? Or maybe half the games we win we felt like they lost cause they looked horrible and undisciplined doing it?
