I’d imagine that on top of the obvious (elite LB, team leader. Etc.) he has emotional attachment to him also being that he’s been with Lanes daughter for a long time. I’m sure he feels awful for the guy. Just an all around bad situation.

This thread and this statement are completely ridiculous. Kiffin had a hand in the scheme of defense against Ole Miss. He stated that much in the halftime interview. We came out the second half much more aggressive, and it showed as we shut them out until their last possession. Baker is a phenomenal DC and how soon you all forget what we had before he got here.
Our offense was also completely stagnant in the first half. Had we sustained ANY drives, there’s at least one less TD for ole Miss.

It’s been going on for months. Smells more like a leaking gas line than from a plant by how strong it is.

In his press conference last night, he was very appreciative and excited for the fans staying. I can’t remember the exact comment, but saw it on Facebook. He understands the magnitude of the fan base here. Something BK called us spoiled for.

I know it’s a bit of an unusual ask, but we were selected for 2 away games. 4 tickets to Tennessee and UK. The thought came to me and figured I’d see what kind of interest I could get for the Kentucky game. Anyone?

Yea that’s true. I didn’t know how much that would limit Wilson’s production. That’s what made me think Juwan Johnson. I’m debating his upside in volume

Been riding the hot hand of Michael Wilson as my second flex for the last 4 weeks. Harrison being back limited him last week and will likely be the same today. Do I keep playing him? Other options that I was thinking taking a risk are:
Blake Corum (I have Kyren Williams also)
Juwan Johnson (yep, thinking of playing him as my second TE in a flex spot. Especially with the saints 2 RBs out and Vele out)
Taysom Hill

I get your point, but in his “defense”, the offense failed to deliver multiple opportunities into touchdowns in that game, or any game for that matter.
My whole point is this: every week you have people blaming the defense for losing, when in reality they were the only reason for winning.

This is exactly my point. You’re taking the opening drive and using that to justify the entire performance. Not only did we hold them to a FG when they were moving that ball at will, we held them scoreless the entire rest of the game. Including a goal line stand

Completely agree. Even with the injuries we faced, the defense played hard every game. You can clearly see the love that the players have for Blake

He took over the worst defense in the history of LSU football and in just 2 seasons brought us back to relevance. A lot of you demand over-night perfection and do not realize that it takes actual coaching to show improvement like that.
Did we give yards to opposing teams QBs, yes. Did we have times where we gave up Touchdowns, yes. It is still a work in progress, but not many people can have such a drastic turnaround like that. With a competent offense, we had a championship caliber defense. It’s unfair to hate on the defense when it’s literally the only reason we were ever in ANY game this season.
Whomever our next head coach is, I hope they keep the defensive staff, especially Coach BB.

Everyone saying we can’t stop a running QB, but SC’s Sellers ran 19 times for 22 yards. Factor in the injuries we had after that game, and there’s your difference. He can scheme all he wants, but if you lose depth, it changes everything.
I’m not saying he’s the GOAT, but BB is a really good coach and the players love him. He has taken the worst defense in history to the top 40 in 2 seasons.

It’s crazy how some of you forget he got stops in 2 crucial times late in the 4th. And what did the offense do, absolutely nothing.
At least he put us in a position to tie the game.. Twice in the final minutes!
