Austin is filled with androgynous Morlocks and homeless people but outside of that, it has a great nightlife; Fayetteville sucks; Knoxville sucks; Oxford sucks; Auburn is growing like crazy and gets better each year but their bar scene still sucks; Gainesville sucks.

Simply the facts.

He hasn’t. One person thinks it’s the thing to do so the people who have never been anywhere just go with what someone else said. It’s obvious a lot of people who claim yo be big fans have never left moms basement.

True College Towns:

I think Athens, Tuscaloosa, and College Station are also "true college towns". I mean most everything in those towns revolves around the University.

Size of the metro/micro statistical areas:

268,000- College Station
253,000- Tuscaloosa
215,000- Athens
167,000- Auburn
59,000- Starkville
54,000- Oxford

Fayetteville is both a "true college town" and the best in the SEC.

Face facts and cry less.

85k summertime pop
28k student pop

top 5 rated city to live in year after year.

Curious, where would you put Knoxville? I'd say 5th-ish.

Austin is not the same for a lot of reasons. COVID knocked the shite out of a city known for live entertainment.

The vacuum created sucked in the hoards of homeless.

The clubs and restaurants are reopening, and the citywide ban on camping is moving the homeless away from the entertainment/business district.

Unfortunately, the infestation of other Texans and out of staters has left a stain that won’t come out.

If you come to Austin and don’t have a good time, perhaps you should look in the mirror.

I've never understood the hate for Miss State's campus. It's really not a lot different from Auburn- Auburn is better landscaped and has a better layout, but the campus as a whole is pretty similar. Far better than UK who, just being honest, has a mess of a campus. Certainly far better than Tennessee. UTK is like an innercity high school developed cancer and no one tried to stop its growth

Currently hipster, trending towards liberal shithole.

It wouldn't surprise me if I enjoy going to road games at CoSC more than Athens within 5 years.

Say what you want about the town of Starkville but we have a very nice campus. We are a fricking agriculture school for gods sake of course it’s very well kept.

The only eyesore I see is that Soviet style dorman hall right by the junction. It’s awful

Yes I am surprised that they have not overhauled Dorman Hall. It is out of place with other picturesque buildings / landscape in the nearby area.

Not only is State an agricultural school , we also have a large horticulture program and the students tend to the campus as part of their
studies. Of all the SEC campuses I have been to , State’s is easily the best manicured.
