LThe Next Round

How much parity is there in the SEC this year?
Alabama beat Kentucky. Kentucky beat LSU. LSU beat Mississippi State. Mississippi State beat Missouri. Missouri beat Florida. Florida beat Auburn. Auburn beat Georgia. Georgia beat Oklahoma. Oklahoma beat Texas. Texas beat Tennessee. Tennessee beat Alabama.
No team or lead is safe in 2026 SEC football.

The best conference in the land. Let’s just hope the bloodshed doesn’t render our schools’ best players hors de combat come playoff time.

Does anyone have a context for the last time the league was like this:? I would say that the SEC is down but I think it is that we just do not have an elite team. It's sort of a "any given saturday" league this year. Combine that with the fact that there isn't a team in the land that is the obvious pick and it makes for a honestly compelling season going forward.
For this comment I identified as a pure college football fan and NOT as a stupid LSU fan who is pissed that we lost to Ole Miss and UK and haven't won a road game since 2011 even though we have the current rated #1 Offense and Defense or some obscure but meaningless stat.

quote:I told you guys in the beginning the SEC was again overrated but you guys cried ''oh no we aren't''. But boy even I had no idea how overrated it was. Polls should not be released until at least the midway point in the season. The Big 12 may end up with more playoff teams than the SEC.

No Ole Miss either
You could make smaller versions to include Ole Miss but we don't fit in this one, which is the biggest version.

Your team would be with the also-rans not pictured because you lost to Texas and wouldn't have beat Tenn.
Congrats.

The SEC is the ONLY conference with a winning record (10-2) against other power 4 conferences. The "big"-10 is a paltry 4-10 by comparison.
The parity is within the conference; the SEC dominates other conferences.

It's only the "Circle of Parity" if it's the SEC, otherwise, it's the "Circle of Suck", right? Maybe the SEC is two or three good teams and a whole bunch of "meh"

When Ole Miss beats Auburn, you can slip them in between Florida and Auburn.
