Alex Collins would be my first choice.

it was determined he was ahead of Chubb.

And there is that pesky word "was". Why didn't he stay ahead of Chubb? Injured. Brendan Douglas was ahead of Michel at that point.

So, again, he needs to prove his durability. On talent alone, sure. But Michel's talent did us no good against Missouri, Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky or Auburn because his shoulder was in a sling.

That's a significant chunk of the season. Then he gets injured again in Spring practice. Durability has to factor into the ranking and Michel still needs to prove his, imo.

Not to derail, but I still have nightmares about what Chubb did to our D last year.

Such a beast

I'll throw in Aeris Williams as a deep sleeper. He's going to turn heads but "best" is a tough one to claim when he hasn't played yet.

The answer is probably Collins.

It's pretty clearly Collins IMO.

Collins is essentially a 1b anyway.

Clearly RB is a position where a true freshman can excel early. As to proven players it is hard to argue with Collins but the hogs run so much it is difficult to look at him as a 2nd team guy. He is more of a 1-2 punch guy to me.

Alex Collins has the better number because of the system they run in Arkansas. Plus Kenyon and Sony both were injured last year but there is enough tape on both to know that both(Drake&Michel)are just as elite as Alex Collins. LINK LINK

SEC best second string RB

Auburn or Tennessee's backup... Or Arkansas.

Alabama & Georgia's 2s get honorable mention.

keep a very close eye on Guice at LSU

Wouldn't shock me if he finishes with the 2nd most yards behind LF7.
