Agree with the aforementioned posts!
re: Who here is not worried about the defense at all?

quick scoring offense always makes it tougher on the D. The 2013 team had fans blaming the D all year long although stat wise the D outranked the O. I know most will have to look it up or just down vote me. I'm talking about total offense and total defense national rankings. This could have been because Mett, Hill, Landry, and OBJ had basically all the yardage.

Look because of injuries, LSU's three weekend starters are to be charitable Sunday pitchers at best. Hilliard and Walker gave fans hope their first year. Neither have returned to their freshman form after injury. Henry especially and somewhat Hill showed promise but are injured now this year. LM hasn't shown much promise period. The bullpen is a mess. Hess was never a really good Friday night guy.
I hope I am wrong and LSU heats up here in May as they have in the past. I don't see them as capable at this point.
Next year most of the everyday players that actually are good hitters will no longer be on the team. Perhaps Cade, Dugas, Bianco, Willis and others will step up and some current pitchers as well.I don't think it is looking good.
We will all see what happens this year and next. I'm not the biggest PM fan out there, but I would give the man two more years to see if he can turn this around. The injuries have been brutal this year.

UK has lost two in the SEC. UT has lost 0. LSU has lost one. No Brainer guys.
re: Mays’ shooting slump

Obviously not many of you have been 3point shooters in basketball. I'd say May's is slumping and it will turn around soon. I see him taking open looks for the most part.

Tigers are constantly after blocked shots. This often creates offensive rebounds for the opponents.
Waters played like this the last half of the SEC schedule last year. They are a still a work in progress with a good ceiling.

re: Does #7 mini-tradition continue??

I can take or leave the "special" numbers; however if they continue, those numbers should be earned while playing for LSU not another school. Yes that includes LF7 as well...just my two cents.
re: 13 pass attempts of 20+ yards against Auburn is off the charts
Posted by NotRight37 on 9/21/18 at 11:49 am
The actual length of the throws makes a huge difference in completion percentage. Probably why the long ones are called "shots".
re: Let's talk about some interesting penalty stats through 3 games

Interesting point by the OP. Another explanation is that we have had crews that like to call penalties but call them both ways objectively.
re: Which game left (besides Bama and UGA) is most concerning to you?

State, Aggies, and Gators in that order.
re: Austin Deculus officially named starter at RT

ParrishGore, that athletic line and D gave up 500+ yards to Monroe the week before.
re: Interesting stat from AUB vs WASH game

Doby, I hope you are correct about Deculus. He is the same guy that the coaches thought was the 3rd best player at that position before the Miami game two weeks ago.
re: how many Defensive lineman played in the game?
Posted by NotRight37 on 9/5/18 at 10:23 am
This defense is compared to the 2011 D often on here. Yes that D had four down lineman, but had twelve guys play every game and were pretty much three deep. DL's on good teams have a heavy rotation because of the physical demands of the position. It is a bit scary that only five played.

Your LSU Tigers were the 1988 SEC football champions!
re: coach O 21-8 since USC
Posted by NotRight37 on 8/21/18 at 1:47 pm
When has 21-8 been an acceptable record at USC and LSU in this century? How many teams with winning records has he beat in that stretch.

Nothing to see here! And yes if MB's family cannot put weight on the kid with food...who can without the steroids.

I think the red shirt rule has been changed to where a player can participate in four games and still not count the year.
