Let’s not brag too much. We lost to Liberty who lost 4 of their top players from last year

We are going to get smashed by Houston. Frank can’t “outcoach” anyone

Till he gets to the conference schedule where he proceeds to magically not suck anymore and screw up our power rankings every year.

Good win for Bama last night... and an especially good one for Mizzou. Those two wins really helped the league overall.
As a conference, this is how we've performed thus far:
Against KenPom Top 50: 1-5
Against KenPom #51-100: 2-1
Against KenPom #101-200: 6-3
Against KenPom #201+: 11-0
I'd say this is about as good as one would have reasonably expected coming into the season.

Missouri win was huge. Really good.
I assume Omaha is > minimum distance from Columbia to count as a neutral site game, right? If so, even better.

Preseason SEC favorite VOLS have another week off before the opener but heard they had a couple more COVID cases earlier this week so they may be down a couple players or may end up delaying again.
Prick’s teams have peaked in January-February typically so nice move to wait as long as possible to get going so we will be peaking in March.

They can't just be the Vols?
Never change 10rc, never change.

3 pages and I'm the first UK fan ITT? I'm here because we have a reputation to maintain.
Honestly, I was excited as the season got close, though I've grown more apathetic towards Cal's program the past few seasons. I'm not gonna blow smoke or defend what we've seen so far this year. UK will get better, obviously we always do.
But I think some of our fans woefully underestimate just how far this team really has to go. Not going to tell other UK fans how to "fan." Some of them actaully enjoy just watching the growth and development process.
In my personal opinion, as the preeminent college basketball program in the country, there's a baseline expectation of both competency as well as return on investment for my entertainment dollar when I purchase tickets to attend at Rupp Arena. Spending what amounts to thousands each season to go down there....this year's team looks like a HS basketball team. It is not worth it in my opinion.
From a basketball purist standpoint, the job Calipari does each year going from November to what they are in March is remarkable. But Kentucky basketball isn't Kentucky basketball because we don't care about games in November or losing to programs we shouldn't lose to, like the rest of the SEC.
I suppose ambivalence is the best term to describe my feelings towards UK basketball presently. Cal isn't going anywhere, so bitching and moaning is pointless for sure. But I'm not going to pay lip service to this system and pretend I enjoy it. Mostly, I don't. It's just baaaaad basketball the first few months. It is. And I don't know why so many of our fans refuse to admit it.
The typical rebuttal is always "well they're young and this is why we are doing these things and you've got to be patient."
Yes, we realize that, and that's why we're apathetic.
Alright, enough of me
