Im baffled by Mississippi State. That team should not struggle to get a bid based on talent and size alone.

I thought we'd be a tournament team, but I believed we'd be on the bubble.

I am impressed with J'von and Samir. Both have played really well. Okoro is better than I expected and the biggest surprise is how well Austin is playing.

Yep guys have stepped up. I figured we’d be a bubble team also. Seems like someone different steps up when we need it. Purifoy basically put that game away yesterday.

I love getting punished for beating the shitty teams in conference we're forced to play.

Stop looking like crap against shitty teams. Then complain.

Yeah Kenpom doesn’t punish or reward teams like the AP Poll or even the RPI does. It just measures how well you’re playing. Arkansas has played a lot of mediocre teams and has only been slightly better than them in most cases.

I think its

UK
Arkansas
Auburn
LSU
Florida

That make the Tourney.

MSU will be a bubble team

Our schedule sets up real nice to start SEC play. If we handle Arkansas and MSU this week at home, we could start 8-1 again if we find consistency

It’s all Obi Toppin IMO. Plus some guys are just better at midmajors

They're one of the best 3P% and passing teams in the country, though -- tough to say that's all on Obi Toppin even if he's a beast and probably the best offensive big man in the country right now.

I think Bama's turned into a tough place to win at for whatever reason. It's also possible Grant learned from coaching in the NBA. Idk, I think Grant would be more successful at UF than White and if we part ways with White over the next few years wouldn't mind taking a strong look at Grant.

A lot of Alabama fans knock Grant's coaching when I never felt that was his issue at Alabama.

His problem was 100% recruiting / scouting. He just couldn't build a strong, balanced roster.

He consistently went after Top 25 guys that he lost out on at the last minute and did a poor job with scouting on his "fall-back" options. His rosters were a few good players but with way too many minutes going to players that were just not Div 1 caliber.

Ironically, never bringing in even a serviceable big man was downfall.

I've been pretty vocal with my thoughts on White. He recruits well enough that it's going to take some balls to part ways with him because he will put a competitive team on the court but imo Florida can do better. I'd personally like to see Florida hire Chris Jans. I really think he's a hell of a coach.

I know Grant didn't do well with boosters and AAU handlers in Alabama which was always curious because he was pretty well-loved within the same circles in Florida.

I mean, yeah, that's pretty much everyone's consensus on White. Recruits well, coaching/scheme leaves a lot to be desired, but the results are likely going to be good enough to not get fired.

He's 42 so I guess the hope is that he'll grow into the job. The recruiting is there. But if we're moving on from him in the near future I'd prefer someone with a bit of high-major experience. Grant would be UF basketball's Mullen.

That was 67% of Auburn’s offensive production. 75% percent from 3.

Andy Kennedy would be my choice if thats the criteria. OM is historically on par with Auburn in basketball. If you can win there you can win anywhere.
