SEC Basketball Reminder

Not a huge basketball guy, but some information needs to recirculate.
SEC Basketball All-time:
1) Kentucky - 8 National Championships, 17 Final Fours, 2398 wins
2) Arkansas - 1 National Championship, 6 Final Fours, 1799 wins
3) Florida - 2 National Championships, 4 Final Fours, 1529 wins
SEC Basketball since 2020:
1) Arkansas - 2 Elite Eights, 1 Sweet Sixteen
2) Alabama - 1 Final Four, 2 Sweet Sixteens
3) Tennessee - 1 Elite Eight, 1 Sweet Sixteen
* Not only is Arkansas the second-most successful basketball program in history of the Southeastern Conference, they are also the most successful program of the last 6 years.
* The winningest coach in the conference is the Head Hawg
* We we be alright. I promise ya. Mired in mediocrity? Arkansas is not.

So let me get this straight. You’re suggesting Kentucky hasn’t been good since 2020 because of their NCAA Tournament record compared to Arkansas in the same short time frame.
Yet you hired the coach from Kentucky that produced that result at Kentucky from 2020-2024.

0-4 and tied for last place in the SEC with a $50 million dollar coach and roster is so bad mediocrity can’t be seen with binoculars.

Arkansas basketball has been abysmal for going on 25+ years with the exception of the 2 years you mentioned. And that guy bailed on you.

Nobody gives a shite about elite 8s. Piggies haven't been to a final 4 in 30 years. Meanwhile 9 sec teams have been to a final 4 more recent.

Pretty sure Florida has been to 5 final fours. Also, no one cares about Arkansas pre-SEC. Arkansas had a good run in the early to mid 90s and then crashed and burned. They really haven’t been relevant in almost 30 years.

LSU
Mississippi State
South Carolina
Texas A&M
Tennessee
have all won the SEC in men's basketball more recently than Arkansas' last crown in 1994 -
Hogs have a very proud program with championship results - they've just not seen those results for some time
