Yet O’Conner won a NC at Virginia, while Johnson hadn’t until he arrived at LSU. Just dumb.

This is exactly why I don't talk baseball until May.

If that's true, then by definition Alabama is not only "rent free", we're practically the landlords over LSU minds. You guys bump some ancient shite.

You putz.
You left out RBIs, home runs, and rinds scored.
Now how the larger table.

If you can’t even hit before SEC play, how can you expect to hit once SEC play starts?
Texas had a much better lineup last year than they do this year and they weren’t even in the Top 10 in SEC hitting in 2025.
There’s definitely a pattern.
Texas was 16-0 before conference play started.
Texas has rarely ever been a "good hitting team."
Disch-Falk is a pitchers ball park, a big field with deep power alleys and a lot of foul territory.
You don't see many check-swing home runs there, but you do see a lot of teams with "warning track power."
Texas pitching had 49 strikeouts in the 3 game series v. Alabama (17, 19, 13).

This triggered an actual "rind" memory. Ol' Slick Rick Barnes taught Aggie fans his favorite cheer while at Texas:
quote:
Despite having Kevin Durant on its roster, Texas lost at Reed Arena to A&M, 100-82. It was the third year in a row that Billy Gillispie had led the Aggies to a home win over the Longhorns. During the game, Barnes was on the receiving end of the bus driver yell as he continued to complain about the officiating.
After the contest, he let it be known that he was not a huge fan.
?
"'What’s next?' a bemused Barnes asked during a postgame press conference in February 2007," Zwerneman wrote. "'Watermelon, watermelon, watermelon rind — look at the scoreboard and see who’s behind?'"
Of course, they busted that one out the next time Barnes lost in College Station.
