Anyone find it shocking that LSU fans are making fun of A&M for going over capacity on average? That is something the SEC can add to their list of bragging rights

The concourse has had lots of fans standing while watching the games. Lots of guests on the side lines.

Looks like the trolls got you.

Hook, line, sinker. The whole bit.

It’s mostly on the student side with guest passes. Student section is close to 40,000 and there are a limited amount of guest passes for them.

The rest would be on the side lines

UGA has considered possibly extending the 3rd level on around the circumfernce of the stadium to where it would meet the Luxury Suites on the South Side of Sanford. If they ever do, it would bring the seating capacity up to around 102,000-105,000.

Never heard this and it will never
happen and once the new ESPN deal kicks in our TV revenue will be nearing $60 million and more than make up for that potential ticket revenue.

We may never recover from 2015. We lost an avg of 15,000 fans day 1 after that mess. Never close to recovering.

There were rumors about it, but we're talking waaaay back in the Stafford/Moreno years. Never heard anything about capacity

Agreed that it will never happen. If anything happens to Sanford, it will be renovations to the concourses/concessions, which will likely remove seats. Especially on the south stands.

Guest passes, sideline passes, press box passes, etc. Lots of little ways to squeeze in some extra folks and with a lot of luxury seating and boxes it gives even more flex.

A&M is just running counter to most of the country on attendance honestly. Our school is growing with a massive amount of alumni and Texas as a State has exploded. If you live in the Houston metro we are the closest P5 team as well and that's 8 million people.

Mainly though they have done a great job of really making a fun atmosphere from pre-game all the way through, it's just a show that people want to go to.

Oh, and the whole part about playing better football helps.

I find it shocking.

LSU fans used to show intelligence when it comes to football.
Now, they just come off like angry corndog elves.

Would be higher if the SEC didn’t give us 3 11:00am kick offs in a row.

Our attendance has been atrocious and I don’t understand why. We sold out when Mullen was here even on down year

I only remember yall filling that stadium when Dak was around or for an Egg Bowl. Its been very slim every other time I've been to that stadium.

Must be based on tickets sold. I've been to a couple games in Commonwealth and there is no way that 95% butts were in the seats on average.

Actually not bad considering our home games until Florida this past weekend have been pretty pitiful.

1. Eastern Illinois
2. Kentucky
3. Troy
4. Vanderbilt
5. Florida

Having Auburn and Clemson to finish up the year should only make that number go up. Our fans continue to show up through thick and thin.

No way OM is even close to this after the Liberty game

Was probably 15k+ empties and not just from Liberty fans not going

Was a crap load in OM sections empty.

Are these numbers tickets sold?

Where are you keeping that extra .9%

If you look closely on TV, many of the male students sit on each others’ laps. More than makes up for this delta.

For good reason. Your football team is not bigger than the university.

I agree with you, although I'd note we reported 10,000+ in empty seats.

Agreed. Mizzou is and has always been its own worst enemy. The University shot itself in the foot with the mishandling of that debacle. It’s amazing how they managed to isolate and frustrate both sides of that mess by being feckless and passive. Not only did most of our fan base and alumni hate the way Mizzou responded to the protest, but applications from non-white students plummeted after 2015.

Then we made an underwhelming coaching hire who couldn’t recruit and we regressed greatly on the field to really put some icing on the shite cake.

I think we would be approaching kU territory of disinterest if we were stuck in the Big 12.

And while it stings, I hope Mizzou doesn't recover for a long time. What happened was bad enough that Mizzou should suffer longer as an example to other schools. The faculty were as bad, or worse, than the students involved in that fiasco. I don't blame the state legislature one bit for cutting their funding.

This. It was a total shite show for the University.
