don’t think South Carolina fans would be upset by having Mizzou as one of their three games.

I can think of 6-8 teams I would rather have then Missouri

Just waiting for Florida to get absolutely screwed in all of this with UGA, LSU, and Tennessee as our permanent opponents. At least we have the neutral game, so most years it’ll sort of even home/away. They should require all teams to have a neutral game with a rival so they can even out the home/aways. But they won’t.

No.

What makes the WLOCP and RRSO so special is that they are associated with a neutral site.

The Jerry World shite got old quick to the TAMU and Arky fans. Are Kentucky and Tennessee supposed to play at the new Titans stadium? LSU and Ole Miss in the stadium in Jackson that is about to be torn down? Protective Stadium wouldn't be able to hold the Saban-era attendance for Alabama's spring game.

Thank God

I hope State gets LSU and Auburn as our other two annual opponents

It doesn’t feel right having football season and not playing them

For the REAL UT:

Bama
Vandy
Kentucky (historic) or Florida (a hot rivalry in the 90s)

I feel like the best compromise would've been staying at 8 but requiring 2 P4 OOC annually. This really fricks over UF/UGA/UK/SCar.

Hope BAMA gets Auburn, Tennessee and State. Two hated rivals and our longest series is against State.

So you think we only play for the Golden Boot every 2 years?

I think Arky and Ole Miss will be locked. Only "rivalries" with names we have.

Arky, Ole Miss and either Aggie/OU/Florida as 3rd

I'd rather 10 than 9 and rather 8 conference games than ten or nine but so be it

Given that the decision is made there is an opportunity to give six permanent opponents each. The advantage to that would be to preserve more of the annual traditional games like Florida vs LSU, Alabama vs LSU, Kentucky vs Tennessee, Georgia vs Tennessee, Florida vs Auburn, Ole Miss vs Arkansas

no offense, but dont you want to have the best teams on your schedule?

As a season ticket holder, I want Auburn schedule to be full of great SEC matchups

For Ole Miss:
We will always play LSU and MSU.
Arkansas is our third rival.

Just to illustrate that proposal, the following permanent opponents could be done annually

Tennessee:
Alabama, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Georgia, A&M, Oklahoma
Alabama:
Tennessee, Auburn, LSU, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Texas
Kentucky:
Tennessee, Florida, Vanderbilt, Alabama, MSU,, Missouri
Vanderbilt:
Tennessee, South Carolina, Kentucky, Alabama, Ole Miss, Arkansas
Georgia:
Florida, Auburn, Tennessee, South Carolina, A&M, Arkansas
Florida:
Georgia, LSU, Auburn, South Carolina, Kentucky, Texas
Auburn:
Georgia, Alabama, Florida, South Carolina, MSU, Oklahoma
South Carolina:
Georgia, Florida, Vanderbilt, Auburn, Ole Miss, Missouri
LSU:
Alabama, Florida, Ole Miss, A&M, MSU, Oklahoma
A&M:
Texas, LSU, Georgia, Ole Miss, MSU, Tennessee
Ole Miss:
LSU, MSU, Arkansas, A&M, South Carolina, Vanderbilt
MSU:
Ole Miss, LSU, Auburn, Kentucky, A&M, Missouri
Texas:
Oklahoma, A&M, Arkansas, Missouri, Alabama, Florida
Oklahoma:
Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, LSU, Auburn, Tennessee
Missouri:
Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas, MSU, South Carolina, Kentucky
Arkansas:
Texas, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Missouri, Georgia, Vanderbilt

Georgia:
Florida, Auburn, Tennessee, South Carolina, A&M, Arkansas
Florida:
Georgia, LSU, Auburn, South Carolina, Kentucky, Texas
Auburn:
Georgia, Alabama, Florida, South Carolina, MSU, Oklahoma
South Carolina:
Georgia, Florida, Vanderbilt, Auburn, Ole Miss, Missouri
LSU:
Alabama, Florida, Ole Miss, A&M, MSU, Oklahoma
A&M:
Texas, LSU, Georgia, Ole Miss, MSU, Tennessee
Ole Miss:
LSU, MSU, Arkansas, A&M, South Carolina, Vanderbilt
MSU:
Ole Miss, LSU, Auburn, Kentucky, A&M, Missouri
Texas:
Oklahoma, A&M, Arkansas, Missouri, Alabama, Florida
Oklahoma:
Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, LSU, Auburn, Tennessee
Missouri:
Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas, MSU, South Carolina, Kentucky
Arkansas:
Texas, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Missouri, Georgia, Vanderbilt

And to illustrate how the six year complete rotations schedules naturally follow Ole Miss for example appears to have an unusually soft schedule until you realize that they would have:

Ole Miss:
LSU, MSU, Arkansas, A&M, South Carolina, Vanderbilt

Years 1&2: add Alabama, Tennessee, and Kentucky
Years 3&4: add Georgia, Florida, and Auburn
Years 5&6: add Oklahoma, Texas, and Missouri

Adding two or three of the harder opponents with the rotation evens it up

Essentially this locks in every SEC team with between four and six (but not seven or more) of the better SEC programs on their conference schedule.

Yeah so either Arkansas or A&M is going to melt when the schedules come out.. assuming they are 2 of our 3 perm rivals..

We play both at home this year..

that means we should be on the road in 2026 and 2028.. but that isn’t possible..

4 Home
4 Away
1 Neutral vs OU

Those 4 home games in 2026 would be 4 away games in 2028, on top of Arkansas and A&M.. therefore 1 of them is going to have to go back to Austin in 2026.

My guess is that is A&M.

Why? Because last year should have been in Austin.. our previous game in 2011 was also in College Station..

But it also makes sense from their perspective.. as they have both Texas and LSU on the road this year, and I’m guessing they’d prefer to split that up.. but they won’t see it that way,.

So yeah.. one of Arkansas or A&M is gonna melt bigly.. and my guess is it will be A&M..

I REALLY don't think teams like Vandy, UK and Miss St potentially opposing 9 games makes them pussy schools. They are fighting for bowl games in the current system and this just made it even harder

In Vandy's case, they failed to get to 6 wins most of the time anyway.

Maybe now this will prompt the school to put the money and effort in to make the team continue to improve.

With 3 perms the trick is that each team can only be listed 3 times. So a bunch of second tier rivalries are going to get their feelings hurt.
