And then in 1995, Tennessee won 41-14, starting a 7-game winning streak over Bama. And yes, everybody in the stadium knew Palmer was gonna get the ball and the Vols still couldn't stop him.

Yes, the 17-17 tie between Tennessee and Alabama in Birmingham in 1993. Tennessee was the better team the majority of the game. Bama trailed 17-9 and scored a late TD and a David Palmer 2pt conversion with under 2 minutes left if I remember correctly. Ties suck

This is much worse than UT losing to a solid Notre Dame team in the super regional. Don't get me wrong, the Vols should have won. But my gosh, UCLA didn't get out of their own regional. No comparison in my opinion.

No doubt it's been an up and down season for this team, but beating Alabama twice yesterday might put the Vols on a good path moving forward! We shall see. Good luck to all SEC teams in the post-season!

It's not like either team is anything special or will do much in the post season. Florida is by far the class of the SEC.

I used to semi pull for LSU during college football season back in the day. Then I started seeing on the rant how for some reason UT baseball lives rent free in some of the LSU fans brains here. Remarkable really y'all care so much about Vol baseball.

Tennessee has now beaten Vanderbilt 15 of the last 17 times the two men's basketball teams have played. I am especially glad UT won yesterday after Vandy's "elite" student section kept chanting "Fu*k you Carey." Carey played for Vandy last season and switched to UT this season.
Gonna be fun to see how the rest of the SEC season plays out!

For those wondering, Lindsey Nelson was a former UT play-by-play announcer for football. He also announced Notre Dame football and I believe was the NY Mets broadcaster as well.

Because Knoxville weather in February is dicey and they would miss a lot of games because of a wet field. Trust me, I would prefer a grass field, but you do what you have to do to get games in.
