I remember lots of people saying Saban would never leave the NFL to come to Alabama. Heard the same BS about Harbaugh leaving the NFL for Michigan.

I really hope it's not Kirby. Loyalty would be the only reason he would get the job and that is not enough of a reason for a premier job like Alabama. If you can't get the job at a place like Ole Miss, you shouldn't get the job at Alabama. Plus his defense has yet to adapt to modern offenses. If you can't stop Auburn with Saban talent, you can't stop them with Kirby talent. Would be an awful hire. I would actually prefer Lane to Smart.

Since we are throwing around names I'll go with Gary Patterson of TCU.

As dumb as that article was, it did bring up a good point. Who wants yo be the coach that follows Saban?

It better be a good, established coach with a history of doing more with less i.e. Gary Patterson, Art Briles, Mark Dantonio. Hasn't the 25 years in the wilderness after Bryant taught us that going with former Bama assistants, coaches with Bama connections is NOT the way to go?

Other than him coaching the QB's at Auburn and playing at Samford, not really.

Jesus said he was busy most days but it does appear it might take devine intervention to beat Alabama next year.

Bama is going to fall off a cliff when Saban hangs it up.

most of your recruiting is done OOS. They go their because of the image Saban has built. I'll give it 3 years tops (after his last batch is gone), then you are looking at a bad situation.

Bama has best facilities and will always drop money for a great coach. If OU and Oregon can win so can Bama after Saban leaves.

If he turns out to be successful, I'd love for Bama to hire Kevin Sumlin. It would continue a tradition, and the melt would be epic.

Like bama has never been relevant until saban? Cmon man. Saban is excellent at what he does but don't kid yourself, bama has a lot to offer players. Saban has accomplished things at bama he could not at lsu
