None of the O-lineman are making nothing. How long before there is some missed blocks?

That’s why Arkansas’s QBs have been getting sacked so much

Clearly Alabama’s OL is getting paid more.

If one of our QBs is getting paid, they’re getting paid too much

Seems like all the QBs we’ve had always bought the OL dinner at least once a week.

Or think about this...

Recruit X is offered a $100,000 car dealership ad in Athens. But the Tuscaloosa car dealership is paying $120,000.

Like I said.. this will ruin college sports. It’s not like the nfl where everyone gets paid obthers a league minimum per position. This will suck.

Yep. That’s been my biggest worry about it all. That means Texas is back!

Then he just enters the transfer portal to another school that pays a lot better than 100K. Transfer portal plus no contractual obligation to any team, plus bidding for services equals college football is no longer a team sport.

This would only make the gap between the top programs and smaller programs. It would also make all of the good players at smaller programs transfer to other programs .

I’m assuming that the oline man don’t want an opportunity to go pro and make millions

This is dumb. There Quarterbacks in the NFL get paid more than their Lineman and receivers. How many purposeful missed blocks and catches are there in the NFL?

If Lincoln had waited to sign The Emancipation Proclamation till he knew exactly how it would affect the country we'd still have slavery.
Progress and justice can be scary and it's eventual consequences unknown, but history takes these steps anyway.

I would have preferred the players get paid a percentage of whatever each athletic department profits annually...too many loop holes and issues that can come with players able to capitalize off their likeness.

I get it’s more fair for the players to benefit off of their own person but to me it’s a necessary evil to protect the sport. There are kids getting scholarships for a free education through their athleticism. A lot of these players wouldn’t be going to college without this...let’s not lose that by ruining the sport. Liberals out west are more concerned with looking like they care more than anyone else rather than making the right decisions.

I don’t like the thought of schools compensating the players (outside of the standard scholarship and stipend). If you do that then you would end up with Tua making the same as the worst person on the rowing team which is ludicrous. I see nothing wrong with players being able to profit off their name. Let the market dictate how much they make, and if it’s too much then it’s because some business owner made a dumb financial decision.
