Good effort but he’ll never win a title at Arkansas and they hired him to win a title.

He is a March master too. His team spent the year getting the chemistry right for the tournament.

Well I’m not sure why not….maybe not this year, but winning a title with Cal at Arkansas is a reasonable expectation.

Barnhardt would not have fired him had he not talked with Arkansas without notifying and asking Barnhardt permission to do that. It worked out for us and it worked out for y'all too. We needed a fresh start and he did too, Cal had lost the fanbase but he is so arrogant he didn't believe that, yes there was a small % of the fans that loved and wanted him but the majority were ready for him to move on.

To clarify, this is a version of the story y’all have determined is fact based off of nothing but speculation.

This right here is what's wrong with college sports

Pearl, Oates and Barnes haven't won titles. Are they wastes of money too?

And slightly off-topic, but Arkansas has been weird the past few years. Never contend for the SEC, but they consistently go as deep as anyone in March. If you just looked at this time of year, you'd think Arkansas was one of the top teams in the conference annually.

He’s being dramatic. Again, every team steps out there to win the title, if we win it that would be amazing. Personally I see Cal as a great hire to help when muss and the roster left. He’s done a great job and I’m glad he came here. It had to be difficult to leave Lexington, you could tell he loved it there but it was over. I’m glad Arkansas and Cal are benefiting each other and hope we reach the most we can with him or any coach.

You pay him all this money and then pay millions for a team, I expect a title.

How did you all only score 14 pts against us in 1 half?

Here's a fact. Y'all seem very happy with him, and I'm very happy without him.

AI Overview Learn more No, Kentucky did not fire John Calipari; he chose to resign and become the head coach at Arkansas after 15 years with the Wildcats.

He also checked with Ohio State, he wanted to get the hell out of there. Worked out good for him and us.

For the record - Barnhardt DID NOT fire him. Cal left, for what he considered a better offer. As is his right.

As the kids say, lets not get it twisted.

We didn’t sneak into the Sweet 16. We’ve beaten teams seeded higher than us. We also have a chance to make another Elite 8.
