Sark says Manning's name hurts recognition of his play on the field.

Sark is quite possibly the stupidest HC to ever coach at this level.

It's true. If his last name weren't Manning, we'd be talking about how average of a QB he is. Instead, we're talking about how overrated he is.

We wouldn’t have heard of the kid playing at Ball St

If his name was Joe Smith and you watched his high school film, he'd be starting somewhere in the MAC, tops.

If he were stupid he would call Arch trash, lose his financial support and then his job.
You guys really underestimate how much influence those Mannings have and the money backing them.
I remember praying Arch never went to Alabama. Check posting history I called this kid out since high school as being overrated and not even average. However that machine behind him?
Combine that with the toxic Texas leadership and Sark is just trying to get to Arch declaring for the draft so that kid and this entire circus can GTFO

Doesn't jive.

If you guys are rowing in the same direction it's a convoluted one with the Mannings captaining

That's probably true. He just average and mannings typically are above average.

This two things are mutually exclusive. Either the Manning's are exerting undue influence or they are not.....

If his name wasn't Manning, he wouldn't be playing DI football. He was simply not impressive in high school (in 2A might I add) and got all his hype from his name. His lack of development proves what a lot of us knew coming out of high school

It's easy to dismiss AM's play after this game as well as his overall 2026 stats, however, against Oklahoma he made some incredible on-the-money throws for three TD passes and avoided some TFL's to run for first downs.
I have seen enough there to question Sarkisian's ability to take advantage of AM's potential and teach him to play the position.
He may not be NFL material. For college he has ability to play at an elite level. His decision-making is what needs work.

Arch Manning puts the AM in Texas.
Wow, how have I never thought of this before?
Texas A&M > Texas AM though

I, for one, would like to congratulate Joe Smith on the pick 6 he threw to make the game winnable for OU. Not very QB can throw an interception with such accuracy, leading the defender with a clear path to the end zone. The interception leading to the winning score for the Sooners, while not as flashy, was also a thing of beauty. I doubt even someone from the Manning clan could have done better.
Yeah, that feels right. Sark knows his stuff.
