If he keeps being accepting of and encouraging of the best football conference in the country having the shittiest officiating in the country I fear he will most definitely see more of this shite.
Every team in the SEC, with the possible exception of Bama, has been screwed by the refs and managed not to make trashy asses of themselves.
Oh, and that spot was correct. If your receiver had reached the ball forward instead of tucking it into his waist, you’d have an argument. But that’s not what happened. Sors.

They should ban the student section for the remainder of the season.

Thamel had to get his shots in on the Vols.

A fan base with a vocal element that has always traded in the sewer of the sport somehow found a lower level. On a night when Tennessee football eventually lost to Ole Miss, its fans also found new depths.
In the wake of Ole Miss outlasting Tennessee in Lake Kiffin’s supercharged return to Neyland Stadium, the spectacle of a 20-minute delay from debris being thrown onto the field overshadowed a fantastic game. And it brought the focus of the sport to Tennessee’s fan base, whose last public riot resulted in VolTwitter choosing the most incompetent coach and athletic director pairing in the SEC this generation.
Where will Tennessee’s depths take them this time? That’s the conundrum facing Tennessee chancellor Donde Plowman and SEC commissioner Greg Sankey as they navigate potential punishments for this seminal moment of fan misbehavior.

I didn't watch the end of the game last night. I saw replays of it. What an embarrassing fanbase. That is as trashy as it gets. I hope the SEC fines the shite out of them.

No. The easiest fix is competent officiating. It's super simple.
Well thanks to your dumbarse fellow fans the story isn’t about the officiating, it about them throwing golf balls at the opposing coach.
What does throwing a golf ball at the opposing coach do about the officiating?

The biggest issue with dealing out a punishment is that not one person actually involved with the program did anything. So how will a fine, bowl ban, etc curtail this behavior?
At best I think if the video shows that this was coming mostly from the student section, you suspend the students from attending games and/or force Tennessee to beef up security around the student section and arrest anyone who throws an object.

I hope the penalties are stiff and aren’t just monetary. I’m good with no bowl eligibility for several years. Hate it for the players, but the fans were absurd.
No, don’t punish the players at all. They were blameless. Last night I called for taking away their home games but that still punishes the players too much.
Take the fans away. Each player and on the field staff gets 4 tickets and that’s it. Nobody else gets in the gate.

Blaming others for your bad behavior is so very woke. Heck, keep that up and there may be a promotion in your future Prof.

This would’ve never happened if the Haslams were in control.

Sankey will probably have them Forfeit a couple of Bama games.

This - coming from an Alabama fan - is amusing.
Blameless fans and students should be no more held responsible for the idiots among them than you should be responsible for the updykes of the world. If they can identify those throwing objects and suspend them, great. They absolutely should. But if you're going to ban the fans, just have some nads and ban the team. You'd be accomplishing just as much.

Does that include looking internally at the officiating this season because it's disrupted more than just last night's game?

Send Clay Travis in to fight it

Will he make an example out of those refs also? Suspensions?
Posted on 10/17/21 at 8:19 am to RebelExpress38
He's gonna bend them over and frick them up the arse w/a splintered broomstick.
Good. They need to be made an example of.
