I’m not understanding this wasn’t LSU top ten and still are correct?

Which is why talking about schedules midway through the season is patently retarded

It isn't retarded when you understand the context. LSU fans were pointing out Bama's weak schedule prior to the LSU-Bama game because people were predicting Bama to score like 40 points in that game based on how the offense had done against trash defenses. It was worth noting at the time. Bama beat LSU and MSU easily but, as was suggested, their offense did not put up gawdy numbers against those two defenses.

The retarded part is Bama fans now wanting to brag about their strength of schedule after having finally played two good teams. Even dumber is the suggestion that LSU fans did not realize that Bama's schedule would get tougher in the second half of the season.

Actually Tua put up great numbers against LSU but not close against State. I hope it was a hangover effect but he wouldn’t let the ball go like he did against LSU and took two sacks that were on him.

Alabama put up 30 points and 560 yards against LSU. Those are pretty gaudy numbers.

Do we no longer count the Auburn win? I'm confused, they were top 25 when we beat them.

Sagarin doesn't have Kentucky in the Top 25

Really? Listen, I understand not wanting to rank Kentucky because well, they're Kentucky. But they were 7-2 with wins over MSU, SC, and Florida, they deserved to be top 25 before last Saturday.

When comparing SOS, the only thing that is really fair to evaluate is the regular season 12 games. When determining the last 4 teams, the Conference Championship games are certainly fair to evaluate across the pool of candidates (because if you are ND and don't play one, you should be penalized relative to Bama, UGA, tOSU, etc). But that's in a relative to grouping aspect only.

We'll agree to that as soon as you agree to stop playing FCS teams during the regular season.

Even with our FCS and 2 G5 opponents and prior to playing the SECCG... here is what an unbiased observer thinks of the current strength of record vs schedule played...

idiots are people who thought beating Miami and Auburn and losing to Florida made them a great team after only 6 weeks of the season had been played
it's amazing that this is STILL floating around

sagarin has lsu's s.o.s. at #3. only 9 teams in the country are better against the top 30.

espn's strength of record has lsu at #6. ftr, bama is #1 and uga is #4

LSU plays a pretender the first game of the season
yet lsu has a top 5 s.o.s. this year according to pretty much every ranking service. explain how that's a "pretender"

always toots the we play Florida horn
which is a fact

even when Florida sux
florida in a down year is better than 75% of the teams in the teams in the nation

quote:

They tout the "top 10" wins that aren't really top 10 wins
just go look at the s.o.s. that will help you to stop posting stupid, subjective statements like this one

quote:

To rank schedules after week one or two or even 5 or 6 is asinine
lsu has had one of the toughest schedules and best strength of record since week 1. and that's still the case

this is an example of a post illustrating who bama really thinks their true rival is

Notre Dame played Ball State and Navy

Sagarin Rankings
24. North Dakota State (FCS)
59. South Dakota State (FCS)
82. James Madison (FCS)
88. Princeton (FCS)
92. Illinois State (FCS)
95. Kennesaw State (FCS)
97. Northern Iowa (FCS)
107. Colgate (FCS)
108. UC Davis (FCS)
110. Navy
112. Jacksonville State (FCS)
113. Stony Brook (FCS)
114. Weber State (FCS)
117. Dartmouth (FCS)
120. Townson (FCS)
122. Western Illinois (FCS)
123. Delaware (FCS)
124. Samford (FCS)
127. Wofford (FCS)
129. Youngstown State (FCS)
134. Montana (FCS)
135. Elon (FCS)
136. South Dakota (FCS)
137. Ball State

Per Sagarin, Navy would be ranked #10 in FCS Ball State would be ranked #23 in FCS.

So shaddup

Pretty obvious Penn State is only top 10 to make OSU look better.

In theory Sagarin is supposed to be pretty unbiased. I think it is supposedly because they have a winning record against the #9 SOS.

UCF's schedule is so bad, that the team right below them is a 10-0 FCS team.
