They’ll definitely target Kirby as the top guy and offer him some stupid amount of money. It’s a win win for Bama.

If he says yes and jumps ship, they got the man they wanted. If he says no, then UGA will be paying $20mm+/year for a head coach for a very long time. If Bama can’t have him, then UGA is going to go broke paying to keep him.

You barely pay Saban more than Kirby now.

Saban make $11.7 Million
Kirby makes 11.25 Million

Saban has been at Alabama for 15 years and you barely pay him what we pay Kirby after 6. Now ask yourself why.

Because UGA is desperate to keep a coach and desperate to keep that winning feeling. They known it's back to the toilet bowl if Kirby were to jump ship.

So, we do pay our coach more than you do, and you think that's a good argument?

Dabo ain't leaving clemson, he's bear Bryant to those people and he knows he'll never recreate what saban did. Clemson is no slouch of a program in football probably top 20 program. But it ain't bama. And if you can collect hardware at clemson you can definitely do it in Tuscaloosa. His eye for talent backed by bama prestige and resources would probably end up looking alot like Pete Carroll's usc or mack brown texas. Which wouldn't be the worst thing. He's not the best hire but damn well could be the safest

there may be a team between UGA/Bama that is desperate, but it ain't the DAWGS. #B2B #3PEAT

I think the SEC has about 5 more years of azz-kicking coming before we will even consider it.

Curious, 5 years ago, what did the list like?

Kirby will be kicking azz much longer than 5 more years. Hopefully Saban will still be above ground in 5 years.

Nope.. it looks real.

This argument is like looking over at your coworker and saying, "Frick yeah, you've been here for 5 years, and I got hired two years ago to do the same job at the same pay — suck it, bitch!"

Both coaches get top-level pay, because those are the current market conditions for that position.

UGA couldn't be more desperate. If Kirby left, UGA would be a doormat instantly. 25 players would hit the portal year one.
It would be ugly. That's why you pay a guy nearly as much as Saban. Desperation is REAL.
