Lives to coach and he is probably afraid he might pull a Bear Bryant and be gone in a few months when he retires

I suspect this, so OVER

Saban leaves in 2025. Its when Alabama actually starts schedule 2 good non-conference opps.

2025- @ FSU and Wisconsin
2026- @ West Virgina and FSU
2027- West Virgina and @Ohio State
2028- Ohio State and @Okie State
2029- Okie State and @Notre Dame
2030- Notre Dame and @GA Tech

Convince me that you actually believe this. He’s been advocating for an additional conference games for years now. And you think the reason he finally retires is because he has to play FSU, Oklahoma State, or Georgia Tech?

He’s getting really old. Whether bama fans want to admit it or not another 5 years would be probably near the max.

Yep, he is really starting to show that "weary of the world" expression on his face a lot.

Depends on how the sport evolves from all the NIL and transfer garbage. Saban is always on top with transition but there are factors that could give other teams an advantage.

Five years- the horror! When we hired him I hoped we could keep him for five years, and maybe if we were lucky he’d have us playing for a title.

Saban is showing his age. I’m close to his and it happens. What I noticed this year and I’m curious if anyone else noticed was how placid and laid back Saban was this year. Like he’s on tranquilizers or something. I can’t see him going another 5 years. He won’t win like he’s accustomed too and this will pain him. Competition is GROWING and nil will make it worse. He and us Bama fans have had a great run. I wish him nothing but the best. Congratulations Georgia. My Uncle Saul may he Rest In peace was a huge Dawg fan. He must be smiling in heaven. RTR

I thought the same thing. Watching him this year seams a lot different than the last 4-5 years. It was almost like he was actually taking time to soak it all in and enjoy it. Seeing Saban congratulate and pat Kirby on the back after the game Monday night and genuinely look happy for him was a class act but very different. I don't think Saban would have done that in 2017. He will go out the greatest college coach in to date...but I really hope he gets to enjoy time with his family before it's too late.

Listening to Marcus Spears and other former players telling stories about Saban, I don’t know if he ever retires. What will he do?

He. Retires after turning 78. That means eight more years.
