I say over. Lives to coach and he is probably afraid he might pull a Bear Bryant and be gone in a few months when he retires

Under
I think he really wanted to win this one and retire.

Over.
I think he genuinely loves what he does and just doesn't want to stop. Despite the time demands of the job, he still seems to have a great relationship with his family, so I don't think he feels a ton of pressure there to stop.

He'll quit when he has to. He is not going to simply retire just to go out on top. His mind doesn't work that way.
What would be cool to see ...
Saban stays another five years continuing to do his work:
Building men, preparing them for the future, destroying media people, giving motivational talks in the off-season, recruiting well even while not winning anymore national championships.
Except for some Bama fans who can't handle it (most can as proven in the last couple of days), I think we could all appreciate this.

Next NC is final one...

He’s getting really old. Whether bama fans want to admit it or not another 5 years would be probably near the max.

We play at WV in 2026... that's the most obvious final year but at the same time Saban does not strike me as the sentimental type.

now that paying players is legal..He will hang it up shortly when his advantage is over.

I say over...
but honestly it will probably come down when he wins his next national championship or how bad NIL might get with players...

He will always look for an advantage. He'll stop when the body says stop. I guarantee it. He is not human.

He’s not. He announced he was leaving LSU for the NFL on Christmas Day. Talk about a stocking full of coal.

Over, Saban will pass away studying film in the Bama facilities like 20 years from now.

I'd say over, but bear in mind I predicted he would retire undefeated against his former assistants - right before he lost to Jimbo
