You shouldn't have, but you did.

Nick Saban says on ESPNU Radio that he reached out to Jimbo Fisher and “never got a response. … I feel bad about it, but I’m not changing my philosophy."

Nobody expected you to. BTW, your 'philosophy' has been called into question, do you have a comment on that?

That’s not what I meant nor what I said. … There’s nothing illegal about this. It’s the system that allows you to do it, and that’s the issue that I have."

I dont' know how you come to this conclusion. Saban said atm paid for their entire class. Maybe it was taken out of context or not exaclty what he meant, but that's the sound byte that got this thing started. So jimbo calls a press confeerence the next morning and lays it all out there and basically tells saban to frick off and that he's always been a cheater, and that he's not some righteous clean cut guy, and maybe he should've been slapped at some poitn or another. Then only a few hours later saban says "well that's not what I meant, I mean I wasn't accusing anyone of cheating or doing anythign illegal or anythign so that isn't really what I was saying"

I don't see how an impartial observer could come away thinking anything other than jimbo looks like the winner and saban looks like he got publicly bitch slapped.

Now...I agree fully and wholeheartedly with everything saban said and his entire arguemtn. I also think jimbo is a hotheaded maniac that doens't handle things the right way. So I'm not on "team jimbo" or whatever. But I think in this last 24 hour saga saban absolutely comes out as the loser.

Saban made a mistake. He apologized for it, but it'll stick around for the next few weeks into Destin, come back up at Media Days and then again before the game.

He doesn't make many, but every once in a while he gets comfortable in a setting talking and he says things that clearly he probably wouldn't have planned to say. This was one of them. He did what he should have done to nip it in the bud with the apology, and that's really all he can do at this point.

The quick and acidic response by Jimbo does make me wonder if they were ever really friends at all or just professional colleagues. Not that it really matters one bit, but they've always seemed more like professionals who worked together than colleagues and friends. This really seemed to put a nail in that.

Let me know when you find an impartial observer on tRant. This place is 60% A&M hate on a daily basis. Nobody is impartial about anything A&M here.

About what I expected.

Narcissist are not capable of a real apology.

And his I was not trying to imply anyone doing something illegal.

LOL

He’s such a fake.

Everyone still knows the truth.

You guys should send them the Operating Red Dog PDF from 2009. THAT JERRELL HARRIS IS FINALLY GONNA PAY!

You have tried to play the same games in recruiting that everybody else has for the past 50 years, you just aren't good at them when Alabama is actually good, because when equal inducements are on the table kids pick Alabama and Georgia over Auburn because we are superior in football. It's not rocket science.
