Yes because a 74 yr old coach who can no longer hire great coordinators and coaches due to his age is the savior of Alabama instead of a 40 something yr old coach with back to back top 5 classes. Don’t be a dumbass

McElroy is an idiot. This is going to tear the Bama fan base in two. As soon as DeBoer drops a game half the fanbase is going to try and push him out because they think they can get Saban back .

It's going to be great to watch.

Your link doesn't have anything to do with Nick Saban. The rest of your post is nonsense.

Eat a dick.

What on earth gives you the impression an NFL organization would ever even fall asleep and have a dream about hiring DeCuck?

Don’t forget some of these other Shaft Williams classics. I randomly went back a few pages and just randomly looked at his posts. This is all from just one week in January 2024.

Get ready for Will Rogers. Lonergan, Simpson and Milroe are leaving town.

Yep, the entire qb room was going to transfer.

Mack is your new starter. Milroe will be packing soon.

Austin Mack was going to be the starter.

With Fisch most likely off the board, I feel like Florida may have to make a serious splash hire for Kiffin.

Mario at Miami has a QB now and Norvell has FSU rolling.

Florida was going to hire Kiffin. And Norvell had FSU rolling… right to 2-10.

Are you sure the Dementia rumors aren't about Saban? His decision-making had gotten bad.

Posted by Shaft Williams 1/14/24 at 4:01 pm

Hear me out.

He kept Pete Golding around.

He hired Tommy Rees.

He wasn't aggressive in the portal for a new QB before this season.

It was said the team chose Milroe as the starting QB by team vote.

Speaking of Golding, Saban chose him over Tosh Lupoi. Lupoi is the Oregon DC and easily a top 3 recruiter in all of college football

Giving Milroe game reps over a pocket passing, defense reading QB.

In January 2024 Shaft said Saban was a shitty coach suffering from dementia.

quote:

Shaft Williams 1/14/24 at 2:01 pm

It took Saban decades to build up what he had as far as recruiting. That competitive advantage is gone. DeBoer and his staff will have to go up the rough side of the mountain to get anywhere close to where Saban had recruiting.

Truthfully, if what I've heard about Bama's NIL is true they are behind a few other conference foes like Texas, Tennessee, Auburn, Ole Miss, and Georgia.

Deboer can’t recruit and Alabama can’t compete in the SEC anymore.

Basically, Shaft’s whole schtick is to shite on whoever is at Alabama at the moment. When Saban was coach he said Saban sucked. Now that Deboer is coach he says he sucks. When Bryce Young was QB he sucked. When Milroe was QB he sucked. Unless he transferred, the he was really good and Alabama was doomed. Now that Milroe is gone Shaft has decided Milroe wasn’t the problem, it was all coaching. So Alabama is still doomed.

It is a pattern. shite on Alabama. Get pissed off Alabama fans posting to defend Alabama. Get other fans posting to pile on Alabama.

Shaft isn’t real. If he is he makes LSUStephen a Rhodes Scholar.

Saban's Increased Presence in Recruiting:
There’s no denying Nick Saban has been more involved in recruiting lately. In fact, his efforts have been visible enough that the media even asked Xavier Griffin’s mother—whose son is a top 5-star linebacker recruit—about Saban’s role in his recruitment.

Photo Evidence Fueling Speculation:
Prior to this, Auburn fans were already speculating that Saban was recruiting for Alabama again, citing the numerous photos he’s taken with current recruits and commits. The visual evidence has only added fuel to the fire.

They're paying him $500,000 per year to do something. I thought it was understood he would assist with recruiting and continue to help with bringing money in from the donors. It seems that's what he's doing. If Saban is going to do something, he's going to do it right, and recruiting takes being actively involved.

I'm going to have to see more smoke mixed with some fire before thinking he's getting back into coaching.

That's a lot of words to say "we're fricked and Saban is desperately trying to keep DeBoer from completely destroying what he built"

There’s usually a kernel of truth behind every rumor—let me explain why I believe that’s the case here.

Multiple Sources Reporting the Same Story:
Contrary to what some believe, Greg McElroy wasn’t the first to float the idea of a Saban return. George Wrighster—a respected college football commentator with a strong West Coast following and NFL background—posted a YouTube short on July 4, 2025, discussing this very possibility. LINK

Sexton Connection and Auburn’s Shift in Tone:
Saban, Kalen DeBoer, and Hugh Freeze are all represented by Jimmy Sexton. I believe many of these rumors are originating from Auburn’s side, especially since Freeze’s previously strong in-state recruiting momentum seems to have hit a wall. It’s worth noting that Freeze has longstanding relationships with both Saban and DeBoer—dating back to their NAIA days. He even recommended DeBoer to Indiana’s Tim Allen as a potential OC years ago. If Freeze is saying Saban is recruiting, it’s likely because he knows something concrete.

A Seamless Path for a Saban Return:
If Saban were to return to Alabama, the transition would be smooth. He already knows the majority of the current roster and may already be behind the scenes—scouting, influencing, or even directing recruiting activities
Give it up he not coming back to Alabama, frick LSU has a better chance at landing Saban than that spoiled fanbase in Alabama

Ain’t happening. Saban’s personality doesn’t jive with current student athlete mercenaries.

There are more reports coming out that Saban desperately wanted out of Alabama. USC is trying to lock him down with a ton of money but he doesn’t want the added headache of his players identifying as furries as all those liberal weirdos do in LA. The sources now say Texas Tech is the front runner and they already have a boatload of money that will be guaranteed for 4 years. That would be interesting if true!!!!

If Saban goes anywhere, it’s a 5 year contract with the Miami Dolphins. He’d be 78 at end of contract. Saban has Mercedes dealerships in south Florida. Has mansion in Jupiter I believe. He would do it to quell naysayers he can’t win in the nfl.

I hope he does. He looks totally uncomfortable and irritated on game day.

Its over, enjoy mediocrity, Saban isnt coming out of retirement. You sound just as dumb as the LSU fans that believe hes coming to LSU.
