No, as he himself made very clear, he just didn’t like what the game had become and decided to call it a career in his 70s leaving while he was still competing at an ultra elite level (SEC champ, CFP OT loss, etc).

Have to be disgusted with the LSU fans that keep sucking this losers dick like little bitches.
He is awful when LSU isn’t dominant - he disappears because his schtick relies on LSU winning or some random team beating Alabama. At some point LSU fans will stop worshipping and realize it’s a pathetic look.

Quiet as it's kept Saban's last few classes including the Covid class weren't that good regardless of ranking.
And, I could tell the classes had fallen off because we haven't gotten anything out of South Florida since Cristobal got to Miami. Look at our DL recruiting and compare it to Miami's the last 2 cycles. Miami has the elite DL we used to sign. The DL is our biggest positional deficit and Freddie Roach isn't the best DL coach.
