Changing his tune after the fact to make himself look good. He was not calling for this when we expanded due to Slive's incompetence. He is only saying this now because he knows it still never happen.

That is because Bama is in the west, not the east

4 East schools have ACC rivals (UF, UGA, UK, and SC)
Georgia and Auburn play Clemson often
SC plays UNC often
Florida plays Miami enough to matter
Tennessee has a history of playing ACC teams
Vanderbilt plays ACC schools and decent FBS

Also, if Nick wants a tougher schedule, why not renew the Penn State series or set up a yearly OOC like the SEC East schools do with their ACC rivals. Maybe Alabama vs Oklahoma or Alabama vs Texas as a fixed yearly rival.

Saban's pussy hurts because his own athletic department doesn't schedule tougher OOC.

They must ignore him.

Or he lies to the media.

Every coach knows that you worry about what you can control (Alabama can control their OOC schedule... not their conference schedule ). All talk. No walk.

I am pretty sure SEC ADs have been open to 9 or 10 conference games, but it includes removing permanent rivalries.

Saban along with Bielema were the only SEC coaches to vote in favor for a 9 game conference schedule way back in 2013 you idiot.

He has had this stance for a longtime.

So play 9-10 CG's during the regular season, and then 2 teams have to play one more, against a division winner, in Atlanta. Odds against a SEC team making the playoffs drop considerably.

So the selfish SOB wants to more than decimate all potential opponents in the SEC because he's now secure that his third stringers (some of whom would be 1st and 2nd string elsewhere) can mop the field again other teams that are worn out, rode hard, and put away wet.

That way he gets through the SEC championship game much easier.

To hell with the damage he's doing to other schools with his lack of parity in the SEC
