Then the LSUs of the world couldn't cry about having to play Florida or somebody.

Wait....no, there would be something else they'd find to whine about. Never mind.

A good number of the coaches are his former disciples. If Nick was serious about adding more conference games, his boys would agree.

Nick is just grand standing.

Weak, Rebel. Half those disciples left before expansion so this wasn't an issue he would've even discussed with them. Pruitt is a moron who Saban never liked and has only been around 1 year. So that leaves Kirby, who intentionally contradicts Saban in SEC discussion to prove he's his own man.

How exactly is this preventing Bama from making a better schedule? Besides the permanent cross division.

Likely because he doesn't get a ton of say in who bama schedules.

We might as well had a bye week.

At least they aren't an FCS team.

I agree with him. They should play at least 10 conference games and I would be fine with 12. frick Georgia Tech, we gain nothing by playing them and the cupcake games suck.

I agree we shoul play 9 and 2 definitely. I think 10, really makes scheduling that 7th home game hard.

Plus, no one knows how completely pushing G5 teams out would play. Could be leagal ramifications. I know y’all don’t care about that , but it is a real thing. You can’t restrict trade and that’s basically what it is with these “money games”. Not for the players or fans. But for the AA’s and schools , yeah could be a big issue.

Yep.

Someone point to the requirement for scheduling an FCS school before Auburn every year. If Saban really wanted a better schedule, he'd get one.

And while we're at, let's ban games against FCS schools.
