They told you I (GruvenDawg) wasn’t an alter...Specifically Fib backed me up. Possibly others too and I had to show you a screenshot of my account going back to 2001 on the DawgVent to prove it.
Not sure if RatRodDog is an alter or not, but his profile says he’s a USC grad. Perhaps you should ask him.

So other UG posters backed you up? SHOCKING.

That doesn't prove anything though.

Why does it bother you if it's not true? Why can't you just ignore it?

Spurrier was a good coach, no doubt. However, he had absolutely NO CLASS.
Sure, we UGA fans couldn't stand him because he beat us, but he beat us when UGA was going through one of its most down periods in its history (1990-2000 = 3 losing seasons, two mediocre HC's), so that takes a bit off of Spurrier's allure over UGA.
There's no denying that Spurrier hated UGA far more than any of UF's rivals because he's always held it against the Dawgs ever since UGA beat his tail in 1966, denying Florida the SEC title (Georgia and Alabama tied for the crown instead), and tarnishing his Heisman.
To win is one thing; to do it with class is another, and Spurrier has never had the class to equal his wins--only his mouth.

And one measly Natty to show for it.

Spurrier was so lazy compared to Saban though. I don't think it would've mattered.
Dude actually thought he'd have more time off when he left for the NFL.

You're right, it's football. Why are you taking it so seriously, then? Btw, men don't call other men, "bitch", unless the one doing the calling is in a backless dress with no boobs and wearing 5 inchers and failed the audition for a drag show.

Spurrier also holds the distinction of the only SEC Coach to lose to Mike F'ing Dubose twice in the same season. ??

8-21 since 1990.
12 - 7 SECCG. Appearances.
3 - 1 in N.C's.
1980.
Most delusional fanbase in America.
*And Bevo tried to buttfrick your mascot.

Seemed like a Florida team was winning or playing for the National Championship every year.
Almost like 9 of the last 10 years for an Alabama team. With the one non-CG year being to the OSU eventual national champ by an Alabama team in the CFP semis.

But Spurrier was a lot more fun to watch and listen to.
I hated listening to Spurrier. Plus the guy has creepy psycho eyes.
I'd rather have Aaron Hernandez as a houseguest.

RRD, come on buddy. We don't have to fight in every thread on the rant. This thread was not an attempt to troll anyone or start anything. Spurrier was at Fla 20 to 30 years ago and I saw that Saban had been at Bama for the same amount of time so I did a little conference comparison.
For some of the Bama fans.
I didn't do non-conference games because it's not close. Any Tide fans that feel slighted can do that. I am not saying Spurrier is as good as Saban. Saban is the best imo.

I am not an alter. I'm not even sure how I could become one!
I am a graduate of both UGA and USC; however, on the profile page there wasn't enough room for me to put both schools, so I just put USC in there and listed myself as a UGA fan. Maybe I should reverse it? I dunno.
To everyone here: folks, my banterisms with some of you are purely meant for fun...I mean absolutely no ill will towards anyone here. After all, it is just football, right?
To help give a bit of understanding here, I am a screenwriter and actor and sometimes my mind will get on a roll (like it did this morning when sipping my Southern Tea--bourbon) after a rather hectic week. Had to do something to relax and this board I've discovered helps me with that.
To my Florida and Auburn fan clubs, my apologies. It's all in fun. However--beware, when the Big Dawg is hungry, ya gotta let the BIG DAWG EAT!
I've had my fill so....selah.

bigDgator...I'm not fighting at all...I'm having some fun! See my post just above this one. But, I can tell you're a good man, a good poster.
When you feel some slimy mud hitting your back for no reason, I tend to put my biceps to work and sling it right back -- but, have fun at it.
I'm so sorry this thread may have degenerated into something that went so aside from its intent, but I'm only joking around for the most part.

POS Spurrier was 5-8-1 vs FSU.

Spurrier had to compete with Miami in the early 90s and 2000s, a top 5 FSU team for 14 straight years with Bowden, and a top 10 Tennessee team for the majority of his time at UF.
quote:
So this notion that the SEC is tougher now than it was when Spurrier coached... Not really sure about that.
Miami and Florida State are not in the SEC, and I don't believe Florida played Miami all that much in the 90s. Could be wrong though. Either way, Auburn had three good teams in that particular decade (1993, 1994, and 1997). They finished 5-6 in 1991, 5-5-1 in 1992, 8-4 in both 1995 and 1996, and closed out with losing seasons in both 1998 and 1999.
The fact of the matter is that the SEC was a three-team league for much of the 1990s. Florida, Tennessee, and Alabama were the only teams that won conference championships during that time period. Those were the only three teams doing something on a consistent basis.
