I would also like to point out that sometimes the game of football is funny. Last season, Alabama was tied 3-3 with South Florida at the half and only held a 10-3 lead until 33 seconds left in the game.

I try not to overreact to struggle wins. I still remember that team that ran through Saban’s Alabama defense like shite through a tin horn. That Saban guy ended up working out ok.

This is what I keep telling myself but as a Gamecock fan it's hard not to fall in to "nothing has changed" fairly easily.

Interesting comparison story about Sellers poor play:

2011 our sophomore QB made his first ever college start over Garcia against ECU to open the year. He went 3/9 for 21 yards in the first half. He didn't look good at all. ECU led 24-14 at the half. Garcia started the 2nd half and Gamecocks won in the end 56-37.

That sophomore QB was Connor Shaw.

Problem is that was a Spurrier led team, not a Beamer led team.

Next coach up. Deion Sanders! How wild and wacky would that be? His son Shilo played at SC for a couple of years.

To make excuses, ODU was an FBS
bowl team last year that beat App. St... They are not an FCS walkover. They made a bowl and SC didn't, so....

Rightly or wrongly, that experience mattered.

Which is crazy to think about because throughout his entire career, despite coaching at multiple high level programs, despite coaching under multiple high level coaches, despite being born into the CFB coaching world, he was never hired as anything except for a position coach. Not for a single season was he a full time OC or DC. That is a red flag right there…then we hire him as a head coach.

and yet he has had only one bad season in his time here so far. He also has notched more top 10 wins that many of our coaches in our history. He has negatives but he has positives too

If usce played Miami like they did yes they’d get trounced but usce is starting true freshman at LT and qb. They gonna look shaky for 6 games but after that they’ll start looking different. Uf has mertz who is what he is. I’d rather be your shoes than the gators.

If Florida or Arkansas were smart they would snatch beamer from us asap.

Great post.

Also, South Carolina football will never succeed with Ray Tanner as AD. And Tanner just will not go away. At all. He persists.

The only thing making Tanner look good is Dawn Staley. If our women's bball program was not dominating I think we'd have a better shot of ousting tanner. Never going to happen.

This guy will die in the chair.

Tanner did not hire Dawn, so he gets no credit. She was already there when he took the AD job.

Guy should've stuck to what he was actually good at, coaching baseball. He's just a baseball coach in an AD costume.

Why would he be on the hot seat? It’s South Carolina.

Well it would certainly explain your performance against the Vols and Clemson after 38-6.

Yes, stealing their offensive signs helped us score 63 on their defense.

It can’t be Tennessees defense was just arse.

Mushcamp got 58 games - 28-30 / 17-22

Beamer will get every bit of 58 games from Rayberry -

fan base is pissed at Shane because after 2 seasons of Marcus Satterfield OC shortcomings - Beamer had a chance to get a legit OC - and he hired Dowell Loggains for 2023 -

Rattler & Leggette helped cover for Loggains last year - they gone this year -
