I have been proud of several AL entities. The head pastor at my church is from LA and we have started the ball rolling on aid.

You can say thanks in many ways but RTR is not one of them. Never expose your soft underbelly!

And BTW, Thanks Bammers, I think we got more help out of Bama than we got out of O'Bama!

Much thanks to the states of Alabama, S.C, Miss, Ga, Fla and others, out of football there is no you and I, there is just we, and we love to help one another. Thanks so much, keep up the great work.

I know SC was doing something similar a few days ago. Good job guys.

I sincerely hope all of the SEC schools are following SC and Bama's lead in doing this. Seeing us all come together to help one of our own is one of the few things that I believe results in us all having conference pride across the board.

My thoughts & prayers remain with y'all!

Stay strong, man. So sorry to hear about what you and others in La have lost, but you still have your faith, your family...and people that you don't even know care about you are sending positive thoughts and prayers your way.

You downvoters should be ashamed.

Truly thanks to bama and sc and every other fan base and school who have sent aid. My wife and I moved from prairieville to Waco, tx last January but when we saw what was happening over the weekend, I took the week off and we drove in on Monday. Her folks took 3' and most of her family (all in Central) took that much or more. My folks were one of 3 in their neighborhood that did not take any water. My sister not so lucky as we were only able to get there yesterday by boat for the first time. The outpouring of love and support from the community here is astounding and even so much more the support from afar. We will be leaving midday tomorrow to have a day of rest before work kicks off Monday morning but there is just so much left to be done. I haven't been this physically, emotionally, and spiritually drained in a long time. So many friends and family lost it all. But we are alive, we are together, and we are strong. Haven't cried all week as the devastation is so surreal and so much work to be done. Will probably have a nice little grieve session tomorrow on the way home. Pictures don't do it justice. But props to everyone who has assisted. On behalf of my family, friends, and the rest of the greater br area!

Keep your head up. We're strong enough to get through this.

And again, thanks Alabama.

Not to get political but we need more of this, people helping people, because our leadership will not. I hope this small gesture from Bama brightens the day for families in LA.

Nothing political about it. Based on what politicians and media are interested in these days, I'm glad our leaders and journalists have shunned this disaster. They'd only make it worse.
