Were they? I don't recall anyone expect8ng LSU's running backs to be better than average last year and that's what they ended up being, average.

We had to play a safety at RB and he looked better than all of them.

We had to or did at the end of the UAB game and the end of the bowl game? Derrick Davis had 11 carries all season, all in those two games.

We're actually laughing about it. Same old off-season talk by a&m only to go 5-7 or coward out of a bowl game. But ya'll did beat us. Congrats...but I'd rather go 10-4 anytime.

Lol…when I read the subject line I knew it was going to be something positive about a&m. Then I opened it and bingo!

That's funny, I did not even mention A&M, in the title or the comments. Every SEC team is on that list and you think it is about A&M?

That's what we call "rent-free 24/7/365" with a little "butt hurt" thrown in.

Running back is a huge issue.

I thought Emery and Davis were going to be the best RB tandem in the SEC when they signed, and honestly thought Davis would end up being the better of the two.

our OL will not be returning many from last year.

That has been a huge concern for Auburn for awhile. I really didn't watch y'all much outside of our game. How did they play last year? Improved, the same, worse?

Well, Kansas, FAU and Wyoming are all in the top 5 and UGA comes in at #80 and Bama comes in at #125....(yawn)...that's a very informative and meaningful list. UGA would prison-rape %99 of every team ranked 79 and up on that list. What's the point?

State returns a lot of offense. OL, QB, RB, half the starting receivers.

Defense we lose entire secondary but do return LBs and most of the DL

If Goodwin can stay healthy he's a good enough starter. Cain, Emery, Williams - they're all probably at their ceilings, sure, but if they can give average production as a group our run game will be good enough. I'd love to see Trey Holly take over early in the season and become a 100 yards per game runner, but he's a true freshman.

Ya, didn't mean it as a dog on Taylor. Just that he was the only one and being a true freshmen last year, he had to be dog tired. Just glad we aren't shoehorning bech/mashburn in there anymore

Thanks to Mash for being a tiger, but there are 3 good tight ends in spring, and a 4th will be on the team by fall. That group performed well enough last year with less talent.

And we can still add another half dozen players this spring, but I really hope we keep everybody on the roster now and add linebackers and linemen.

Yeah, Emery was a bad eval. Guy hasn't played like a 4 star, much less the 5 star he was. Hopefully he can play like an every down back this year.

I'm not as down on our RB's, but I haven't really expected much out of our RB group recently. With the way Daniels runs, they just need to be decent and they could be as efficient as our 2011 RB room.

Mizzou’s defense was elite last season and brings back a lot of production. Should be fun.

Will Peat repeat the premature TD celebration? That was fun.

Doesn't really matter when you replace it with better players.

We didn’t have a QB that could throw so I can’t give you an idea of our returning WR talent. So the same to worse in production.

I expect that to change of course with Freeze involved.

Good to great QB play and talented, physical receivers were hallmarks of the Freeze era at Ole Miss.

I think y'all will be aight.

If you had a choice of riding with one of your two friends which would you choose:

Friend A has a 20 year old vehicle with no AC and it is known to break down but he is familiar with it (AKA,returning a lot from a team with losing record)

Friend B is coming straight from the dealership after purchasing a new luxury vehicle. (solid team that replaced a decent amount with equal or better talent through recruiting and transfer portal)

People can disagree with me, but Boutte was absolutely awful. Dude checked out during the fsu game. I think he expected the video game numbers from 2019 and didn't want to actually do the work.

Ya, Emery is a huge bust. Cain did well, but another 4* bust. Goodwin got hurt. Bradford disappeared again. Best RB this year was a former walkon and a safety that only moved so he could play.

If that's not disappointing, then I don't know what is.

ETA: Cain was just a 4*, but a top 10 rb out of HS.

Is that the only goal? Do you not want your team to win more than 5 games?
