So is anyone else reporting this besides
some kid that works at a local TV affiliate?

If true, this is a message to Barn fans that it doesn’t matter if Auburn wins 72-0 … ain’t happening, just using an example … Cadillac simply is not a candidate, mic drop.

This is a knee-jerk mistake. Why do you Freshwater fans want this to happen so bad? Especially for the amount of money we're talking about here?

I tend to think Lane is a tad over rated and I can't stand his Twitter/personality schtick. However, he is the best coach available. I think it makes sense to hire him.

Following the normal track from OM to AU. He's just setting up to be United States Senator for Alabama in 12 years.

Respectfully disagree. He sees a splash hire for himself and is gambling for Chizik/Gus immediate success. I will eat crow if he has us in the natty game in year one or two, but make no mistake, this shite is all about Lane.

Lane will regret going to the barn. That place is toxic and a career killer.

Pat Dye - SEC legend, multiple SEC titles

Terry Bowden - Undefeated SEC season

Tommy Tuberville - SEC title, undefeated season, should have had a shot at the NC, and now a US senator

Gene Chizik - National champion, SEC champion, coached a Heisman winner, stellar ESPN analyze career, back in coaching on his own accord

Gus Malzahn - SEC champion, national championship appearance

Bryan Harsin - Slept with Clesi

Not to mention, outside of Harsin and Bowden, every one of our head coaches have kept their families in Auburn after their tenure ended.

I think Lane will be okay

This actually scares me.

Why? He’s never going to have a defense regardless of where he goes and LSU has a far better coach who has the program heading in a very positive direction.
