I played pee-wee basketball against Mike Conley Jr. I hit a jumpshot over him, and then he proceeded to take my lunch money and score 100000000 baskets on me.

Dad and both uncles played D1 sports at SLU and Mizzou (baseball, hockey, football). Then I came along and played D3 (did 2 sports).

My lifelong best friend plays football for MTSU.

My mom played JUCO basketball and was invited to walk-on at OM.

My grandfather received a football scholarship to play at MS State, but declined to join the Air Force during WWII.

Dad played football, baseball, basketball and track in juco. Went on to run D1 track.

Cousin played pro baseball for several years.

My son is going to be the greatest college athlete to put on a pair of cleats in about 12 years (Yep, I'm that Dad on the sidelines).

My grandfather played football, basketball, ran track, and was intramural boxing champion at Texas A&M in the mid-40's when the school was all male and all Corps of Cadets. My dad has newspaper clippings from the Associated Press at the time claiming that he was the most versatile athlete in all of college athletics. Got drafted to play pro football, but declined. He said that at the time player salaries weren't any better than any other job that a college graduate could get and, with medical technology not being what it is today, most guys were so busted up after a few years in the league that it was hard to work another job after football.

My dad had a lot of offers in bball, including an ivy league one but no sec.

My parents' ring bearer in their wedding was the starting kicker for Bama for several years.

I had several small offers in baseball and played juco but also was invited to walk on D2 and juco for football.
