Good grief man, point is LSU can make a coach great with what we have. That coach just needs to want to work and do it not be lazy AF.
Are you saying we just go after past coach of the years in shitty conferences?? I can think of a few that have jobs and don’t.
Never said pay up top dollar, actually the opposite cause we don’t go after some big name. You are on the side of “the coach make the program” which is true for lesser schools. This is still LSU, top 5 program/facilities/fanbase in the country. A coach can make a name for himself for taking this on and thriving. Be a legend.

LSU is a job anyone would want, no doubt. Higher profile coaches can see this as a lay back and let it happen type destination. Cruise control…see BK. When we got Saban, he was an up and coming from Michigan State and smaller schools before. Miles was OSU and smaller before. O was…well he was a shrimp boat captain.
Hungry coach that is use to NIL and doing well with a program that can’t pay what we can, facilities we have, dan base we have can thrive and crush it.
That’s my $0.02. Not interested in what Woodward tried to do and likely would’ve done again. Have some insight on good coaches that can propel themselves and this program for years.

At least Sextin knows Franklin isn’t falling upwards. He is trying to pin UF LSU Ole Miss against each other to lay up. Kiffin will end up with 15m a year anywhere, even OM. Franklin is going below Penn State and taking a salary break, maybe Arky. Sexton will be the greedy fat POS he always has been….technically good agent if he’s yours.

It’s hard enough to take a high profile job at a school with high expectations…now you have the bumbling idiot of a gov trying to bring the weight of politics into it. We didn’t just fire a HC we hired from a tier 1 school and pay him 54m (or 27 or whatever he buyout is) to turn around and hire Wilson who was a failing HC at Mcneese. Love him for the program, love he loves LSU. But get real.

I mean I tend to agree but there are some desperate schools and he is still a big name, winning record (as of now for this season anyways). Belichick likely is out at UNC as well. So that 4 big schools looking. Better than doing it when those school lock in someone. Some teams want to be good enough and BK can do that for a few more years.

BKs buyout is structured over time, through then end of the contract. Currently it’s 90% of remaining, ie a discount to firing him. If he gets another job, it’s offset by that. So, if we fire him while all these other coaches are getting fired, he could be picked up by another team and get us out…just saying.

This is literally what everyone said about Vandy, and they wiped the floor with our defense, did anything they wanted to to our line that is offensive to watch.
